Canon BJC 3000 InkJet Printer Questions & Answers
Hi,
My Canon BJC 3000 printer
Hi,
7 orange followed by 1 green means Cartridge Error.
If you have recently replaced the ink cartridges then please check that they are installed properly and re-seat them if necessary.
If you have not recently replaced your ink cartridges then check the ink levels using the software that came with the printer.
Try replacing the ink cartridges and if that does not solve the problem then you can contact Canon support.
The details for Canon support in the UK can be found here:

The orange light flashes for
Hi,
Orange light flashes when the print head is bad or not being detected properly. So clean the print head and insert the cartridge and check, whether it is working at fine. Furthermore, check, whether the nozzle is stuck inside and clean it. However, mostly you need to replace the print head.It will cost you around $100-120.
Hope this helps.

hi samkit2
blinking LED indicates there is usually an error in the printer.
check
the ink, printhead and printhead movement you whether it is caught or
not, also check the paper is stuck or things that prevent the movement
of paper into the paper tray. like a small pin or small objects that are often easy to fall in the paper tray.
thanks and regards

Printer indicator lights blinking endlessly is always indicative of ink cartridge issue. Either the cartridge has expired/become incompatible or the electronic panel of the cartridge is dirty. If the issue is expiry/incompatibility you will have to replace the affected cartridge. To confirm it is the case you will have to bring out each ink cartridge one after the other and clean the electronic panel of each carefully and replace and see if the lights stop blinking after closing the cover. You must do it one after the other so you are able to determine which cartridge is the issue. To clean the electronic panel use folded tissue soaked in a bit of methylated spirit. The electronic panel is the surface where you see dots of copper.
Good Luck & God bless.
Can the print head be replaced?
Yes it can be replaced, but this is often unnecessary. Printer manufacturers don't want you to know this, but if you get a shallow dish and place enough ammonia-based window cleaner in it (something that REALLY smells like ammonia, not the lemony other nonsense, or streakless) to cover the print head, right up to the pads that the ink cartridges sit on, and let it soak for a few hours, it will come completely clean and work like new. It's best to squirt the pads for a minute or so to remove the current supply of ink, THEN soak it overnight. Use a lint free cloth to pat dry the inside, re-install the ink cartridges in their correct spots and re-install the printhead. You're ready to go. While you're at it, clean the copper electrical contacts on the print head with a bit of isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip. May as well be thorough!
My printer will not print anything - orange light
Think about BUYING A NEW PRINTER. Forget what the brand you want and watch for a super deal with free shipping. I got an amazing HP printer for $29 with free shipping. I thought it was a bad product that was useless and no longer made. It is still being made and sold for $175 - $300 for the exact same printer. THERE ARE DEALS! I bought it because it was cheaper than the ink cartridges in my existing HP and figured I'd use just the cartridges and safe a few bucks. Instead toss out the old printer and have a better wireless network printer. You have to be patient and subscribe or check daily a :"deal site" until an amazing deal comes up. I just saw Microsoft selling a super cheap HP printer and got a deal, plust found coupon and it was only $14 plus shipping. Total $20 bucks. It has bad reviews, but for a back up printer / document only .... it was worth the buy.
