My register is stuck on closed. How do I get it to "open"

It just means you haven't logged on to the machine so it doesn't have an operator (clerk) signed in to make sales. You need to enter your secret PIN number and press the clerk button (CLK#). If you have forgotten it, you will need to program a new one. One of the users has the programming manual here: https://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Samsung2.php

How do I eliminate an erroneous "cover open" error message?

Make sure the printer cover is pushing the cover switch correctly. Also, try spraying the cover switch with WD40. It can clean the contacts and get it working again. Otherwise, have a dealer do it for you.

Problems cash register

if an initial clear doesn't work the keyboard is probably your source of trouble. if it was exposed to moisture it won't do the clear. Many people have had success drying them out by pointing a small fan at the keyboard for a few hours and then try the initial clear again

What does error code mean e21

Manual says E21 is 'Off Line'. Not much to go on there but I am guessing that is probably referring to something that is plugged into the serial ports on the side - perhaps it is looking for an external kitchen printer of something along those lines.

Training mode closed how do i re open

The training mode on the 5200 is activated using a clerk number that has been programmed to be a training clerk. To log the clerk off turn key to REG and press 0 then clerk. Then log on a clerk which isnt programmed for training - try 1 then clerk. If that doesnt work, try 2 then clerk. Clerk key is usually top right key on keyboard.
