I slightly dropped my canoscan lide 110 Now it doesn't not working

Certainly a drop for today's electronics is nothing like the old days. Its good and bad. Good that it was only a slight drop; bad that nothing lights up; good that it wasn't big and bulky and cracked the entire body and frame and it didn't arc and spark like the elder generation of office equipt. generaly I check to see what I can do ( after looking around to see if any one saw me ) and I check to see if the pwr source just got rattled. loose cord batteries not making good connection. If still no go I evaluate if plan B is needed. B is physically getting into it. ie take the bottom or back cover off . some times B is solved quickly with say a loose soldier conn. or the small "coin" battery came ajar. I'm batting nowdays about 29%. In the 60's and 70's I batted about 85% of broken equipt. I'd get into I could fix fairly quickly with a mod or two(jury-rig) or a soldering. As the years roll on parts are added to others and/or no longer mechanical. It cheapens the product but simplifies it immensely. A simple switch is now three diodes and two transistors. When plan B isn't satisfying. it's either put it back together; trash it; or REALLY take it apart~ plan C. Looking for any thing that I can do. generally the last stop for I part it out. This time period to me is important. it helps me slowly accept that some things really are not made to last. ( especially slight boo-boo drops) good luck my friend.~~~SC

Canoscan Lide 110 driver

Perhaps you have forgotten to unplug the scanner before scanning? That's what happened to me. I kept getting different error codes, 5,202,63 or 5,202,52 or 5,202,54 and also a message that the driver was not in the TWAIN folder. According to the help file the problem might have been due to my nfts file system. I also tried downloading various new drivers. Nothing helped until I noticed that I had not unplugged the scanner!

Scanner led 110 error code: 217916

the cause is that usb cable supplies power to scanner(there is no power cable) and therefore can not be much long, plug the original cable from scanner directly to USB port in your PC and it will be working correctly. If you use additonal cable to connect scanner to your pc you wil get the error code

Scan drivers not installed

Did you receive a driver with your printer? If not you need to have one in order to install the software for the printer, in order for it to work properly.
