W113 washer drum is loose inside
I had the same problem. I stripped my machine down when they told me it would cost 1200.00 to replace the bearing. I found out after taking it apart it wasn't the bearing. It was the bearing shaft assembly shaft mounting bracket that is made of cast aluminum and the metal was corroded beyond repair. I called Miele and you have to buy the whole inner tub assembly 517.00 plus tax and shipping. I will also replace the bearings as well.
The washing machine won't begin
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(no promises but it's worth carrying this out anyway!)
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Wil163 3 lights flash mid wash
My machine starts filling with water, then the power button and the two next to it start to flash, and the water starts to drain from the machine.

How do i change a belt on a indesit washer machine
Usually there is a back panel that can be removed to give access to the motor and pulley wheel for the drum. If not then remove the top panel and look down the back and you will see the big drum wheel. you will also be able to see the spindle for the motor at the bottom. Reach down to the motor and hook the belt around the spindle and place as much of it as possible on the pulley then turn the wheel to pull the rest of the belt on. It can be a little tricky but the only other way is to completely remove the back half of the machine. If you get stuck try www.espares.co.uk and check the advice centre, it gives a video on how to change a belt, most machines are similar. Hope this helps.
Washing machine doesnt take the washing powder -
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is a common problem with many machines.
I suspect that it needs a thorough clean! Following is my general guidance- please pay particular attention to the sentence in BOLD ;-0)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-
- push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
- release the catch underneath or
- lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
One of these should enable you remove it
(I am having to guess some of the following!)
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner ( the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended and are easily cleaned).
It will normally have some sort of cover on it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. This is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.
I hope this is your problem and solution!
Good luck,
John C

you might have a pressure switch problem due to a blockage in the sump , but more likely the fault is down to tracking on your control board. You might be lucky and find that if you take the board out and clean it around the the botttom of the printed side it might just work, failing that I suggest you call an engineer
