Replace a belt on indesit dryer
Hello.Tools needed to solve the problem (A)Standard screwdriver,New belt.1 Unplug your dryer to disconnect power to the unit.2 Remove the screws that hold the dryer top in place using a standard screwdriver. The screws are located along the top and sides of the dryer. With older models -- 1996 and older -- the entire top comes off the dryer. For new models, the timer and console stay in place while the rest of the top comes off.3 Remove the screws that hold the front panel and door in place using a standard screwdriver. The screws are just inside the door at the top front left and right sides of the dryer. The front panel on older models will move to the right side and on newer models the door will move to the left.4 Remove the existing belt by pulling the idler pulley to the right. This will take the tension off the belt and allow you to pull it away from the motor pulley.5 Install the new dryer belt by wrapping it around the top of the drum and allowing it to fall around the circumference of the drum. The grooves of the new belt should face down toward the drum. Rotate the belt around the drum to ensure there are no twists in it.6 Connect the new belt to the motor pulley. On newer models you can access the motor pulley on the front underneath side of the dryer. Pull the idler pulley to the right and loop the belt around it. On older models you can access the motor pulley through an access panel on the back of the dryer. Pull the dryer away from the wall and remove the access panel using a standard screwdriver. Repeat the same steps as on a newer dryer to install the belt around the motor and idler pulleys.7 Replace the front panel of the dryer and the screws that hold it in place.8 Replace the top of the dryer and the screws that hold it in place.9 Plug the dryer in and make sure the belt works properly before trying to use the unit.Thanks.
IT IS NOT INDESIT 123. IT IS INDESIT 133
its prob your inner door catch or door striking plate the inner door catch has a bymetal strip inside that looks the door they wear out but if the striking plate is worn on the door it will also stop the inner catch to lock it is better to replaice both at the same time they are not to expensive to buy and easy to fit just turn off the power to machine unplug take the top off and you can get your hand dowm the front where the inner lock is undue the two screws which holds the inner door catch lift out and unplug the lock plug in new one and put back you will see how to replaice the outer door catch best to take the door off and lay flat
Flashing code
f05
F05 indicates no drain or pressure switch jammed on full. If it's full of water you need to drain this down first.
Take the cover off below the front panel, you may find a filter there. Put a container down and some towels.
Slacken the filter a little and drain the water. Tighten the filter to stop the water. Continue doing this till the water stops, then take the filter out, clean out the debris, ensure the pump is free to turn.
If your machine doesn't have a filter, pull the machine out and drop the hose into a bucket or wash basin. Raise the hose to stop the flow of water while you empty the bucket or basin. Once empty, unplug the appliance, tilt it back 45 degrees (assistance would be good), take the screws holding the pump in place and drop it out through the bottom. Take the hoses off, clear the debris and reassemble. If there is no water in the machine, unplug the appliance, take the lid off, locate the pressure switch, give it a few good taps with the screwdriver handle, take the thin tube off and blow down it hard to clear any debris. Reassemble.
Try the machine again. If the F05 persists then you're potentially looking at new electronic control board for the appliance.
Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important

DOES MY WIXL143S INDESIT USE HOT OR COLD MAINS
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
That's easy to tell- if it has 2 inlet pipe/hose connections at the back (as opposed to the outlet pipe which is permanently connected to the washer and hooks over the outlet drain) then it is a hot and cold fill. If there is only one inlet pipe it is cold fill only. Either type HAS to have a cold fill supply- to lower the temperature of the hot water for cool washes AND for rinsing which is normally cold water only.
If you have only a cold water tap/fawcet available for the washer and it is a hot and cold fill you will need to purchase, from a hardware (?) store, a 'Y' adapter. Upside down the single end (internal thread) screws into the cold water supply and the hot and cold washer pipes screw into the double end (external threads). The washer is fooled into thinking it has hot and cold! When it expects hot, it opens its hot valve but instead gets the cold water and has to heat it up. It will therefore take longer for the machine to do the washing. When it wants cold for rinses, it opens its cold valve and gets the same water! Simple ;-0)
Hope this has clarified!

Easycare flashing all the time
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Try this!
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter- so many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I'm so sorry but this forum does not, nor is in a position to, supply any type of manual (service or otherwise), parts list, installation instructions, electrical or schematic diagrams direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home and from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)
Also members on Fixya are not 'affiliated' to, or representative of, any manufacturer at all, just using their experience gained probably over many years.
Manual
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer service manual' and you may be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct but often it will supply only to registered agents.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Were you able to check the operation of the pump when you checked the filter? If not read through these guidance notes and action where necessary just in case, please ;-0)

No lights on indesit washing machine
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Check that the washer supply is OK using another item - a kettle for instance. If it's not check your breakers/fuses. Reset/replace if necessary and if the same thing happens, or if there was nothing wrong with the breakers/fuses in the first place, sorry but with such a fault it is impossible for anybody on this forum to remotely guess what could be wrong with your washer. It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB.
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
