Its running too lean on the carb mixture, you need to richen up the H screw on the carb, if not marked it will the adjusting screw furthest away from the cylinder, this will increase fuel to the engine if turned out ( anti clockwise ) you will be to purchase an adjustment tool, this is because there is no slot in the screw, it has a spline so the tool has an internal spline to fit the adjuster, the are readily available on e bay, once you have the tool, unscrew the adjuster onlt 5 minutes on a clock face.

You need to adjust your idle screws. Start at 1 and a half turns out for High and Low then go from there.

I have a Husqvarna 128LD and love it. When using a tiller attachment the part of the shaft that has the knob comes loose. I have tightened the screw with allen wrench but it still comes off. or gets loose. Can I weld the bracket to the shaft?

Not sure if you are asking about the throttle assembly or carb. Both of these are available as kits from Husqvarna and will save you a big headache trying to rebuild.

Rod, Carb. may need adjusted, try loosening gas cap and start to see if cap vent plugged, there is a in tank fuel filter that you could fish out and remove to see if it is plugged. If still not running remove muffler and clean spark arrester screen, if screen plugged the trimmer will do this. You have to take it apart, get the spring back in, then wind the cord around around it. Not an easy task if you've never done it. A small engine repair or lawn mower repair shop will fix it pretty cheap and fast.

Its definitely the carb. "cleaning" the carb usually is not a fix alone on those 2 cycle carbs. You should rebuild and clean it. The small diaphrams in those get tiny holes, and the fuel now days plays havoc on them. Carb kits are inexpensive, just make sure you re-assemble everything in correct order.

Buy some new fuel line then put the line in from the motor side into the tank and feed up and through the opening on the tank. Then you can put on a new filter with a tiny clamp then put it back into the tank making sure the filter is resting on the bottom.

you are getting a vapor lock, empty all the fuel, replace the filter and refill to the top.

Check the diaphragm.
