How to relace BIOS battery ?

Turn off and unplug pc, and then remove the bottom of the laptop until you see a 3VDC Round Silver Wafer battery inside a clip. Simply remove the battery from this clip and reinstall a new 3vdc battery. Notebook cmos batteries are harder to replace than Desktop pcs, so be careful.Watch out so you don't lose the TINY case screws.

How do I do a factory reset on my laptop?

Turn the computer off using the on/off button, then turn it on again while repeatedly tapping <F12> or <F1>. That should get you into OS setup. If that doesn't work, you will need a recovery disc or a new windows disc. Put the disc in the drive and start tapping <F12> or <F1>. The computer should give you the option to boot from CD.

Acer netbook d257 limited or no connectivity

If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on your wireless connection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptop probably did not get an IP address from the wireless router. To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and then click Repair. This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless card on the laptop.
