Labesl are printing very light in the center. OK

This is a good challenge so lets start with the "simple stuff".

First, Have you cleaned the printhead? If not just use a Q-Tip and some rubbing alcohol if you don't have any other cleaning materials.

Second, look at the platen (the white roller) are there any cuts or hunks missing? This would result in voids every-time the platen rolled around to that point during printing. If you see any, the platen needs to be replaced.

Third, it would be odd but do you see any stuck labels on the platen? If so remove them.

Fourth, the "standard" 105 SL has one tension spring. I'm guessing it's already centered in the middle of the label?

Zebra 105SL runs out of ribbon, the printer still

Make sure that you have the printer set for THERMAL TRANSFER printing and not DIRECT THERMAL. It is possible to run the printer in DIRECT THERMAL MODE with the ribbon installed so in that case when the ribbon runs out the printer will not stop.

Zebra 105sl has a head

This message appears when the printhead is under temperature. Either move the printer to a warmer area, or perhaps introduce something to provide some warmth. My shipping area can get cold so I have a small light that I actually put inside the printer. It generates just enough heat to allow me to print.

We have a Zebra 105SL connected to a Windows XP

Hello.

If there are no jobs in the print queue, be certain that your USB cable is snug.

If still a problem and there are jobs in the print queue, go to Printers and Faxes and delete your printer icon.

Note: Here's how to delete a printer icon in Windows 7:

1. Open Printers by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking Printers.
2. Right-click the printer that you want to remove, and then click Delete.

If you can't delete the printer, right-click it again, click Run as administrator, and then click Delete. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Disconnect the USB cable.

Restart your computer.

Reconnect the USB to your computer.

Your computer should see your printer. Install the printer driver.

If still a problem, since you have already changed the USB port on your PC, the USB printer cable or the USB/parallel converter is probably faulty.

Also, test the printer by installing on another computer, if available.

Hope this helps.

The extra 10mm would be on the right side. The printer is left justified. Left justify your format and you should be ok.
This isn't adjustable.

The printing is fading, more so on left of label,

Try cleaning the thermal print head. If that doesn't do the trick, the printhead may be defective.

Error ribbon in is flashing in Z4Mplus printer

this shouldn't stop it printing, could be a dirty sensor - under the printhead. it is a printhead open/ribbon sensor. try giving it a clean (its not the red one). if that doesn't work you can turn the ribbon sensor up to 100% in the menu. that usually stops the error if all else fails

Have a Zebra 105 that needs to be re-calibrated

What happens to cause it to go out of alignment? These printers have a language all their own, could be a particular printout or does the printer lose power at times? Is it possibly not at top of page when it loses power?

We have a Zebra 105SL

The data light indicates that the printer is receiving data. Hold the cancel key for 10 seconds while powering on. This will print printer configuration. Use to troubleshoot. If the data or format is wrong it will not print as you send data. Make sure you are using the 105SL printer driver. To test the printer functionality you can go to www.teklynx.com and download a demo copy of labelveiw, select the 105SL printer and try to print a simple label. If you can print with labelveiw then it is not a printer problem. Double check your driver and label format.
