most probably problem with the QX 200 main board assembly thats the main CPU board which control the CX-550 printer.. hope proper input voltage is getting there.

DId you find a solution to it ? I have a same issue.. Cx-550..Makes turning on noice, fan starts but there are no lights.

Hi,

You may try to check the printing options from the print setup menu while printing. Selecting the right "paper size" , "paper type" and "paper tray" options may solve the problem.

If not, the pproblem may be from the paper sensors of the printer (may be dirty etc.).
You ay also try to reset the error message.

I am guess you having Windows XP. I do not have this printer but it sounds like the paper selection is what windows is telling it to select. on your computer go to Start/ control panel / Printers / printer and fax. right mouse click on your Printpix printer icon and select properties.  under general click on Printing Preferences/ here where it could get a little different. you may have basic or advance chooses. and under one of these you should see paper type. select your correct paper such as roll paper or it may have a paper number. if you need more help reply here with where you are on this step
