Pc just cuts offf and wont come back on for a while how do i trouble shoot it
You might try cleaning out the inside of the case with some compressed air.Make sure pc is unplugged before doing this.
Dust and dirt accumulating inside pc will make it overheat and pc's do not like too much heat buildup. Also, if the thermal grease on the CPU is getting old, the CPU will overheat and that could shut it down. How old is your pc?Realplying New thermal grease onto the Processor will allow heat to transfer off of it better than before. It just sounds to me as a heat related issue.Make sure too that all your fans are operating ok.
including the CPU fan.

Pc stays on for a while and just cuts off
The first thing that comes to my mind is it might be overheating.
When was the last time you cleaned out the vents on it?
Get a can of compressed air at a place like Radio Shack or Office Depot, and work it over, blowing the dust/(cat) hair, etc, out of the cooling vents.

Where is the fan
There's a CPU fan mounted on the heatsink on top of the CPU and inside case fan(s) mounted in the back of the case.

A) Where did the disk come from?Gateway? One you made from the computer? (INTELLIGENT person, if you did!)B) In BIOS Setup, and in Boot Order; do you have the first boot device set to CDROM?C) Is the disk clean? Or does it have fingerprint/smudges/scratches on it?Nothing above works?Suggest the harddrive is bad.Regards, joecoolvette

My gateway ZX4351 is too loud.. How do I open the case and clean the fans?
Depends if the fan's can even be cleaned. There will probably be several screws you will need to remove on the back, along with the stand. The edges may need to be pried open, preferably with a plastic pry bar so you don't damage the case. Once the case is open unscrew the fan and see if it has a rubber stopper in the center, possibly under a sticker. If it does then you can open that and add a drop or two of sewing machine oil and it should be quiet after. If it isn't then I'd just replace the fan.

Back panel remove gateway zx
There are two plastic covers on the back, one on each hinge of the metal stand that you can pop off. Under each cover are three screws. Remove these screws and set the stand aside. Pull off the two rubber feet on the bottom of the unit. Disconnect the HDMI cable for the display. You can now pry off the back. It's one large piece of plastic. Try to fit a wide flat screwdriver or plastic spudger in the bottom corners of the plastics in the seam where the silver and black portions meet and twist. There are clips that go around the entire inside edge of these plastics so a fair bit of force will be required to get them all off. Using a metal screwdriver is likely going to leave marks so use your fingers or a plastic spudger tool wherever possible. Eventually you'll be able to pry it completely off and you can get access to the internal components (after removing some metal covers held on by more screws)

ZX4351-47 fan too noise
Just take it off and order some fans on Newegg. Stealth fans are what you want to look for. Just ensure you get the same size and direct airflow appropriately. I like the neon light ones :)

How do I remove and replace the hard drive in the gateway zx4351
While I have no idea what you mean about the monitor, I can address the HD situation. You must remove it, and set the jumpers to slave, then attach the HD to a working PC of your own, and see whether the data is in tact, or scrambled from the lightning.Cheers!-a.

Speaker stop working on my gateway ZX4351
It's possible that you somehow messed up the audio driver... Go here and download the latest driver and re-install it.... You may want to uninstall the current one first from device manager. Here's the link:http://support.gateway.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=3258
