No Power on Sony TV
Be sure to use an ORIGINAL Sony transistor and be sure to resolder the pins of the small horizontal driver transformer and all parts connected to and around it, and your set should be fine.

Screen sumtimes becomes red & normal
Buddy that thing needs resoldering job on it's crt connector board some cold solder,cause the problem(red to normal) comes in and out.So if you can't do it,try to see qualified friend to do so...Thanks Dods..

SONY KV-20FS100 does not turn on
The standby light should be blinking a repeated count with a pause between counts. Can you post that here please? That will indicate the cicuit in which the problem was found that casued the shutdown. Armed with that info, I should be able to indicate the most probable defective parts and how to resolve the problem.

Samsung d1878 no power on
Check its main power regulator section circuit and replace damaged component/s. If you have sound knowledge in electronics, you can do it by yourself. If so, send your email address to me by Fixya, and get a copy of the schematic diagram of this set by return mail. It will help you to locate the fault very easily.

TV will not come on.
The 7 blinks indicate a high voltage shutdown (high voltage exceeded 33,000V). This is usually caused by a defective regulator. Could you please post the exact model number (KVxxx) and I'll look up the part you will likely need?

Tv not function
The standby light should be blinking in a regular pattern. Please count the blinks and report that number here. It is an indication of the problem circuit.

The 2 blinks are an indication of an over-current condition, otherwise known as a short. Typically this is because hte horizontal output transistor has failed. If you are comfortable with working inside the set and can solder, you should be able to resolve this yourself. Look for a large transistor (3-legged part) attached to a heatsink close to the flyback transformer (part with large red wire coming out the top). Post the marking on that part here and I'll give you the complete part number. Replace that part and you should be OK. If not, we'll need to investigate a bit more. The part should not be more than about $15.

Tv will randomly turn itself
Hi,
Does standby light start flashing when tv shuts off?
If yes, how many times red light flashing after 3 seconds long pause?
Let me know is it Sony KV-20FS120 or any other model to diagnose the problem.

My Sony Trinatron has suddenly
Hello,
does the TV bring out sound even as the screen display is dark?
Problem should be from the TV lamp/bulb. When a TV bulb/lamp is dying, it makes the pictire on the screen become dark and very hard to see.
Have the lamp replaced and hopefully, your screen should be perfect as before.
Let me know if you need directions in replacing the lamp, even though it is very simple replace.
