Light works but no loner gets col. Do I need a new thermostat?

*If* you're lucky. It could be a defrost timer switch, compressor, pressure switch, low refrigerant due to a leak, etc.

U-Line undercounted refrigerator has condensation on the back metal panel.

If its not affecting the cooling ignore it, if it worries you, turn it off, dry it out , clean area & repaint it.

(1.7 cu) Chefmate Fridge Doesn't Get Cold

The Chefmate 1.7 fridge uses a thermalelectric device (TED) to provide cold air. There are no moving parts there. The problem is usually in the power supply. That is the PCB on the left side behind the back cover. If the fans are running then your thermostat is bad or the TED is cracked. You can buy these ebay or other places on line. To change one you must carefully remove the large heat sink. The TED itself is only about two inches square. If you decide to replace this unit be sure to get a supply of heat sink glue. Otherwise you will end up with a hot (or cold) spot on the TED possitly causing another crack.

The light is on, but the compressor is not

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it. (Thermostat)
If it runs then that cold control (Thernostat) is the problem.
If that doesn't work DO THIS:
The relay on the compressor may need replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.
Be sure the BACK COVER is in place and hasnt been accidently removed.

My chefmate refrigerator does not

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
But is probably a common defrost problem The ice build up
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

WATER SPLASHING IN FREEZER AT ICEMAKER
THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP
AGAINST THE FILL RESERVOIR CAUSING A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE
OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

Refrigerator seems to be running

When was the last time you cleaned the condenser grill under your unit. If that is coated with lint it will affect the operation of the machine.

Doesn't cool.

Try doing a complete defrost by leaving the fridge off overnight. If this work, then you may have a defective defrost system, which is one of the most common faults causing this problem. If problem is defrost system, then the fridge will stop again cooling after few days or weeks.

If that defrost does not help, then please get back to me, we will try troubleshooting the problem further.

Can freon be added to

Freon can be added to any unit, but you e going to have to take the unit out to exposed the back where the component are located. Why do you think that you need freon. Unless the line was punctured. it unlikely that you would need to add freon, Is it not getting/keeping cold. Problem might lie elsewhere like in the thermostat. Hope this helps.

Power is not going on the refrigerator

Thermostat may be faulty. Try to jump it out using a jumper wire. Be sure to unplug it while you hook up a jumper wire, then apply power and see if it starts.

I accidently punctured the freezer line at the top

It can be fixed but depending on the age, condition, and value of the fridge it probally is not worth repairing. I would say a minimum of $300-$400 US to repair without seeing it.

How can I repair my Honeywell Bar Fridge Model

This refrigerator has a thermoelectric cooler, no compressor. Anything that goes wrong is probably electronic. A circuit diagram would really be helpful.

The water drips from the ice maker into the ice

If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.

If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.

Have a small leak in my small freezer unit coolant system

Good day,
Gas is not dangerous. But you have a serious problem.
Repair is limited to an epoxy repair, or replacing the coil assembly complete.
A new dryer filter must be brazed in, The system must be vacuumed out, charging ports installed ect, ect, ect.
You can call around to the service companies for a price, but it will be pricey, and you will probably have to take it in.

Not considered to be a practical repair.
