The user service manual is available by going to the AsusTeK support page and inputting the K42JC information then scrolling to the manuals sections (first link). Below that is a direct link to the manual.

Order a new one and replace it or you can order individual keys on eBay

Its possible the power pin on the notebook is worn or damaged and is not connecting properly or the plug is damaged, contact a local repair to test.

go to user account and remove password

are you getting any lights on?saying its on. sounds like it over heated,can you hear if the fan is trying to run? if so try cleaning it all out.

try asking windows to look for the driver,or roll the windows back to when it last worked.

try going into your control panel and click on the pointer icon and see if you can set from there

replace with bigger ram

Simply left click and hold on the item you wish to drag, then move the mouse to where you want it to be - then release the left mouse button.

As with any windows machine. Press ctrl and prt scr (control + print screen) Then paste it into mspaint for instance.

look for paperclip reset button .use a paperclip to reset. Very small button side or in front

There is possibly a button jammed into the keyboard section of the laptop, under the screen (usually). Try and see if you can release it, this shuts off the power when the screen is closed.

Click start, all programs, accessories, click command prompt, enter mdsched.exe, this will check your memory.
