If you replaced the FL231 without replaceing the DL231 it will usually work for a little while then fail. However if the sound youre hearing now is a short sharp chirp which coincides with the power indicator its often caused by a failed flyback and HOT Transistor, if the sound sounds like a soft psssst three times then DL030 and DL032 all items are on the Deflection/power board.

The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv convergence board require it 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors to be replaced to solved the convergence problems.The shop will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

Install the RCA repair kit called the ITC222 and ITC222A convergence option missing repair kit. Its available from www.tvrepairworld.com and contains the parts plus instructions on CD.

Try website like Tvrepairworld.com have many DLP models tvs flyback transformers.

these just pop of but be carefull the plastic is thin just carefully pull forward and it will let go. 1 side at a time.

Thanks for using FixYa. 3 blinks in your RCA D52W17 rear projection are caused due to 3 capacitors (CP114, 120 and 150) which are located on the deflection board. press and hold the power button for a few seconds. it should blink some codes. does your tv try and power itself on a few times. does it not show power at all. need more info to determine cause.

if you know the compoment parts that need replacing yes if not order the whole replacment power bord from rca call there service parts number give them the tv model and they will be able to send you the entire replacment part

If by distorted you mean misaligned, looking 3D you have bad convergence. I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4220499-change_projection_tv_convergence_ics which explains the problem, how to repair it and where to get the parts. Let me know if you need additional help.
