There are actually 3 light guns (or as you were told, "light bulbs") in your projection TV, and if one of the guns was failing and making the noise, you only had a one in three chance of fising the problem if you replaced only one "light bulb".
There is no LED on a rear projection television. There are three projection tubes (RED GREEN AND BLUE) and those tubes are mounted in the set and project the image to the mirror and then to the lenticular screen. The issue with brightness could b one of several things. Dust and film accumulate on the tubes and mirror. This causes the image to fade, Also since it has TUBES they age. They are getting hard to find too. The other thing is the adjustments on the set can change over time. There are brightness and contrast settings inside the set that have to be changed and reset after long years of use.
i have seen this before and sorryy to say if unplugging for 5 or more min and that dose not fix it may need to be replaced not many people fix them these days but not impossable
is the line horizontal or vertical ?
you have some sort of a deflection problem its either vertical failure or the yoke return circuit on the horizontal has a failure
Check its speaker first. If found OK, check and replace damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit. If you are not sound in electronics, contact any service technician.
That sounds like a convergence issue I would check the setup menu and see if the auto convergence option is stll listed under the setup menu options or hasit disappeared? Let me know and i will assist you with the issue
The customer one is in the main menu, the advanced one is rather hard to get to; Note if the Convergence option is missing from the main menu you have an issue under the High Voltage transformer or right next to it--this set is well known for this and a "kit" with a diode, cap, and the protect coil is available on the internet. If you go after that resolder all the connections for the Sweep transformer and right around it, bad connections seem to start this kind of problem and no point in replacing parts if you do not also resolder----Good old Lead free solder.
set you have listed has all sorts of convergence problems: look first to see if in menu the convergence option is there--if gone there is a 3 piece kit for that. Also around and under the high voltage transformer this set is known for bad and poor solder connections that cause this problem.see typical photo of the transformer:
This could be a convergence problem. If you have already tried to adjust convergence through the menu feature on your TV then you may need to replace the convergence chips in your TV and possibly a resistor or two. Take a look at this video to determine what you need...hope this helps you www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGCEM5s5iCMThanks
The set has a shutdown circuit with ties to voltage and current being drawn inside the set--Common dead set issues include:broken solder connections at or around the high voltage transformerShorted or bad parts on same board as transformerBad High voltage Splitter block or the High voltage transformerConvergence problems which usually do not stop set from coming on.typical high voltage transformer
