Lets try something ,turn the set on and put you forearm in the face of the picture tube if your hair stand to static it means you have high voltage and your set is missing possible the screen or filaments volts,if the hair in your arm does not stand your set is missing the high voltage and the problem is related to the flyback but it does not mean is bad ,it could have a loose conection in one of the legs or in the near area,next time it happens tap on the side of the set to see if it reacts if it does you know you have a loose conection.If you are familiar with tv service this will be a good place to start but if you are not too familiar be safe and call for assistance from a servicer.Let Us know if you need more information and how it goes.

Tune your TV to Ch 3 or 4.If it has a input button on the set or remote press it and then choose video that works with the VCR.

This is CRT 32 inch tv and most probably horizontal/ vertical deflection section got problem that is why tv wont show picture.
Problem could be dry/ cold solder joints/ connections or vertical output chip failure, visual check by professional is required to get it repaired. It is not bulb problem in this tv because it wont has any bulb.

The sound IC chip is bad have a tech replace.

If you have sound,than a bad ground may have occured on the horizontal transformer or the vertical IC. These will have to be resoldered. In the event the vertical IC is resoldered you should have the capacitors immediately near this IC checked and replaced as necessary! I would imagine you are speaking about the older picture tube type TV. This info is for most tube type TVs. Hope this will help! Thanks for asking!

you probably have cold solder joints on the board inside the TV - bring it to a repair shop and they will be able to re-solder these for you

As the CRT (picture tube) weakens the electron beam will loose some of its intensity. This will cause the beam to become a little wider, and thus the scanned picture will look softer or out of focus. Most of the time, the corners, top, and bottom tend to start getting worse than the center.

Sometimes the focus bias can be cheated a little. Some models of TV sets have a focus pot on the CRT circuit board, or on the high voltage multiplier. This control works in a high voltage area. I suggest you get experienced assistance for this. If you take the TV set over to a local TV shop or find an experienced tech, he could try to adjust the focus for you.

Considering the age and type of set you have, you would be better off getting a new up to date TV set.

That eazy test it now just put the antena on u fine out right away u get a picture or not
the analog signal it off.

It probably has the Y Board inside was stop working. This kind of problem will need an expert to open the TV and check what is wrong. Samsung plasma has often this Y board dead because of overheat or surge from electricity.

maybe you have a blown fuse,try to have a look first inside,if you have a blown fuse then replace it with the same rating,if it blows again replace your power regulator
