NewAir AF-1000R Portable Evaporative Cooler Questions & Answers
NewAir AC-14000E not blowing ice cold air
Unfortunately there can be several reasons for your AC-14000E portable air conditioner not cooling well. As with most portable air conditioners the filter grates on the rear of the unit can be removed for cleaning. When those are removed you may be able to clean some portion of condenser coils. There is also the possibility that your portable AC has a refrigerant leak in the system and will not be able to cool effectively without a repair (which usually costs as much as a new portable AC). Portable AC's are not designed to be recharged and operate on a sealed refrigerant line so even finding someone able to repair it may be a challenge. Your best bet is contacting the company you bought it from and talking through some solutions, they most likely have experience with these units and should be able to help you.

It sounds like the actual control module, the "brain", of this heater / air conditioner has failed and can't sense when to kick on the heat any longer. Have you tried just unplugging the unit for a good 5 minutes minimum and seeing if it will help "kick-start" or restart the electronics?
I have seen many of these units go bad with this issue, and many of them only last a few months for whatever reason... I think yours may fit into that category. It is not really worth repairing, to get a replacement unit that is equivalent is around $300, and the repair would end up costing you more than that unfortunately. Definitely try the restart method mentioned though and hopefully you can get some more life out of the device.
Thanks, let me know if you have any questions or concerns, just reply to my answer here and I will be right back with you.

If you cab salvage a few parts, you won;t have to purchase an entire new vent kit. You can find similar vent hose at any home center in the heating and cooling dept. Just take a piece of your old vent hose with you and match it up to one that same diameter. You can use your old termination and connect it to the new hose. You can do all of this fairly inexpensively.
Hope this helps and saves you a few $$ at the same time.

Sounds like you may have an air bubble in the drain system. Try adding a little tap water to the pump system to help force the air bubble out. Sort of like priming the pump.
Also, you wouldn't send it back to anyone here on Fixya for Warranty repair. You'd have to send it back to the manufacturer. But, before you do, try talking with someone in the manufacturer's Technical Service Dept. They can probably help you over the phone. Thus, saving time and money.
Hope this helps you solve the problem.
