My machine keeps showing the bobbin error but there is nothing wrong in the bobbin

Assuming you have threaded the bobbin case correctly, you might try using a different bobbin. There may be something wrong with it. Make sure that there is no thread sticking out of the side of the bobbin. If there is a bobbin thread sensor, it could be dirty causing it to not read the bobbin correctly. When you thread the upper thread, be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot so the tension disk is released and the thread can seat properly.

How can I use my Bernina 640 Artista to applique

Perhaps I'm not understanding your question. When doing applique, I use a very tight zigzag stitch with a satin stitch foot or open-toe embroidery foot (so the thickness of the stitches do not create buildup under the presser foot). Set the tension so the bobbin thread stays mostly under the fabric so the top thread is the only thread that shows on the top (sometimes threading the bobbin pigtail will help). Fuse the cutout fabric to the backing fabric. Then zigzag so the raw edge of the fabric is covered by the zigzag (helps to use a thicker thread so the coverage is easier). Some newer machines have the ability to miter corners. On my 930, I set the needle position to the outside of the raw edged. Then when I near the corner, I gently, but consistently, narrow the stitch width to an an outside point, since the needle on the outside edge, turn the fabric and gently, but consistently, widen the stitch to full width. This creates a nice mitered corner. When making curves, stitch small lengths and then sink the needle on the outside of the curve, and gently turn the fabric to follow the curve and repeat while going around the curve.https://books.google.com/books?id=MQneD8cQ5KAC&pg=PA13&lpg=PA13&dq=mitered+applique+corner&source=bl&ots=1sHsUrkVAz&sig=1WZ-i2-T3RtvUEW797sHxTKiq4E&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiaoZeiwunKAhVslYMKHewdDFEQ6AEIKzAC#v=onepage&q=mitered%20applique%20corner&f=false How to Appliqu Like Pro Sew4Home (FWIW, IMHO, the satin stitch on the bird is really a poor example. The stitch is not very even at all--could be the sewing machine.) How to Make and Apply Appliques (The giraffe is a better example, although choosing a simple design to applique usually yields better results.)Practice, practice, practice!...

The pressure foot on my bernina bernette 715 won't move

Troubleshoot this. Here are some steps you can take: Safety Setting Adjustment: In newer firmware versions (V9.xx), a safety sewing setting was added to prevent the ruler foot from hitting the needle holder when the foot is hovering and the needle is down. If your presser foot only raises slightly (about 2mm), it might be due to this safety setting. To resolve this, change the setting from the maximum of 2mm to a maximum of 6mm. Remember to switch it back to the original setting when using the ruler foot. Check the Needle Position: Ensure that the needle is in the highest position (raised) before attempting to move the presser foot. If the needle is down, the presser foot may not move freely. Inspect for Obstructions: Examine the area around the presser foot for any obstructions, tangled threads, or debris. Make sure there's nothing preventing the presser foot from moving smoothly. Presser Foot Pressure Adjustment: Uneven fabric feed can occur if the pressure on the presser foot is too high or too low. Adjust the presser foot pressure according to the thickness of the fabric you're working with. Power Cycle and Reconnect: Turn off the machine and disconnect it from the power source. Reconnect it and power it back on. Refer to the Manual: Consult your Bernina Bernette 715 user manual for specific troubleshooting steps related to the presser foot. If these steps don't resolve the problem, you may have to take it to a professional repair service.

I have a Bernina 802 sewing machine and the reverse won't work to back stitch. It seems the feed dogs are lifting up at one end rather than just shifting back. How can I get it to work?

Lovely machine, sounds like it may need some age related maintenance. Start by oiling all the red dots. If you are not familiar with the oiling spots internally, I’d suggest checking out Facebook group vintage Bernina sewing machines, the group has files including manuals and service manuals. There is about 14 points to lubricate these.
Good quality sewing machine oil, not household or 3-in-1.

How do you thread the bernina 1230

You can probably use the manual for the 1260. Sewing machines basically thread alike from one model to the next. One thing to remember: ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the top thread! This will help prevent those dreaded thread nests under the fabric. BERNINA Sewing Systems (in the Out of Print section) ...
