Ultrastat Thermostat
70 to 72 degrees maximum surely now we are all supposed to be pulling together to save our planet???
I suggest you download the instructions for your type of thermostat. If the thermostat doesn't work per instructions it is obviously faulty.
You could contact Honeywell for advice over such an important matter.

Gas heater short cycles
At your indoor unit, look at 1 of the front panels and see if there is a clear, plastic view port. Look through it and try to see a red flashing led. Count the flashes and look at the factory data on the front of the unit. That should give us a trouble code and lead us in the right direction. Also make sure air filters are clean.

Nothing working, unknown errors
Sounds like the tstat, obviously, isn't responding. A sure check is to bypass the tstat. Turn power off to airhandler and remove cover. Remove red, green and yellow wires and wire nut/ twist together. Turn machine on and see what you get. If inside and outside turns on...bad tstat OR just not setup properly. My batteries died on mt heat control, I changed them and now have nothing
http://www.gogeisel.com/geiselonline/support/Honeywell/CT3300_CT3355.pdf this is the programming manual- they have a note that if you show low battery after replacing the battery- put the battery in backwards, wait 10 seconds, then put the battery in correctly again to reset it- you will have to reprogram the clock time and date and any settings you had previously.
