When the snowflake is blinking it usually indicates something is wrong with your AC. The first thing you should do is to verify that the power is there and don't forget the switch to the blower next to the furnance.
Then see if the exterior fan is working/spinning. If it isn't, then it could be the contactor-relay or the capacitor or the compressor. I always recommend that the contactor-relay and capacitor be replaced at the same time because they have similar failure rates and if you replace one now, the other might fail shortly later, but use your best judgement. They aren't that hard to replace, but make sure the power is off before you do it.

Now if the compressor is bad, which you can check with an ohm meter, then you will need a professional to change it since there is freon to be captured and then to charge the system.
