Did you try updating the firmware on the machine? Ensure you follow the operators manual.

You have a bad LASER unit.

There should be 2 switch actuators sticking up underneath of the toner cartridge, maybe one got knocked off?

check back of drawer there is a blue tab that holds paper stack in place sometimes breaks! and blocks tray from opening!

Dear If you are sending the fax using ADF, there may be the document jam, Open the ADF cover check the path for any foreign objects. Also you can send from platen glass without document jam. Also this may happen to the other end fax machine, better you do a test copy from ADF and Platen glass. and confirm your fax machine is ok. Thanks.

Have you at some point installed a second scanning device on the system..

Reason being TWAIN is configured slightly different by every manufacturer to optomise the working of their hardware.

It some cases when you install a TWAIN device for Scanner A this can interfere with Scanner B
Usually its because your trying to use TWAIN(scanner A) on Scanner B

Make sense?

Make sure (if you have installed another scanner device) that you are using the TWAIN software that came with .

You might need to reinstall the entire set up from beginning.

Paper feed rollers and sheet feed pad dirty. Feed roller on top pad should be just below. Clean with alcohol. Papers have clay in them. Recycled is worst. It will glaze the pick up roller and pad.

Does it print the fax?

press the monitor key...you should hear a dial-tone...if not try below.

Check the phone line with a regular phone plugged into the wall jack.

you need to check that you have properly programmed your parameters in the machine that should match the ones provided by your ISP.
