Need a new power supply

Hello
You can bought it from most of the electronic spare part shops nearby you. Select one DC adapter which have 9V and above 2.2 Amps do not make any harm to to your set. If 9v2.2Amps is not a standard one, you can select 9V3Amps or 9V 3.5Amps and so on. As ampere rating increses the price also will increse. Be sure about its output voltage. It should be 9VDC itself. OK.

My disc tray won't open

hi,
You have to check two things.
1. You have to check the tray loading belt in the mechanism. To see the same you should remove the mechanism.because the loading belt is beneath the cd tray. As it is cyberhome it will be very difficult to remove the mechanism for an user. if your capable for doing the same then make try. Because you have to remove the top cover then the back panel, then the mechanism. Take care the mother board is attached to the mechanism.

2. You have to check the cyberhome dvd player will show this type of complaint if the Spindle motor is faulty (oppen or short ). Spindle motor is one on which the cd rotates. It will not cost a lot.

Heres a link to your local walmart, you can either purchase this online (likely cheaper) or find them in your local radioshack/walmart... Likely since they're basic cables there should be a spare set lying around the house.

The lid came loose (hinge).

If you are referring to the band situated at the end of the tray (the one that has the DVD typed on it) then it slides down on 2 small vertical channels at the end of the tray sides - the lid should have 2 small clamps pointing inward: with the tray extended press on the extremities of the lid to make the clamp engage in the channels then press it dow till the safety pins go under the tray to secure the lid. If one of the clamps is broken then get a new lid from a discarded cd/dvd pc unit - the lid is standardized.
If you are referring to the tray itself then the safety pin that holds it in place is broken and the optical unit is dead, it can't be fixed - you will need a new one.
If you are referring to the top lid then just lift it at 45 deg, press it firmly under the front cover and rotate it down.

It won't play a dvd! and when it does it just

Hello

Eject the DVD from the Cyberhome DVD player. Look over the bottom of the disc. If any dirt and fingerprints are present, remove them with a damp cloth, moving from the inner circle of the DVD to the outside.

Insert the DVD into a scratch repair device, if the DVD has any light scratches (deep scratches are not reparable). Turn on the DVD repair kit and the device literally sands down the scratch. When this is finished, the DVD should work correctly with the Cyberhome DVD player.

Avoid inserting homemade DVDs into the disc drive. The Cyberhome is not compatible with many self-created DVDs, causing a "Disc Read Error" message to appear on the screen.

Spray compressed air into the disc drive of the DVD player. The compressed air removes dust and other debris from the laser and reading lens in the player.

I need a CyberHome CH-DVD

I don't blame you - you are after a user manual - preferably a .pdf - that you can download and open later, and which is in a readable format - here is one possible location you can get a free pdf from:

http://www.retrevo.com/support/CyberHome-CH-DVD-300-DVD-Players-manual/id/534bh842/t/2/

(it may ask you for email address (no registration/sign up/password/paid subscription required) and to type some numbers in a box before you can download - just for security)

It is an Adobe Reader file (.pdf). I trust this might help you a bit.

Have no remote for the device.so i have been

Normally when a DVD is inserted, the subtitles option (if it appears in the on-screen DVD menu) is set to 'OFF' by default, but since you do not have the remote, you cannot access it. Some DVDs have the subtitle/captions enabled at startup, so there is nothing you do can do without the correct remote for this model (which may no longer be available anywhere) and it's even worse if the subtitles are not in English or the audio language is not English or both!

Nice to have a remote (universal one if you can find one which can operate this model) then you can have basic control over it, but I cannot assure you that it will turn subtitle/captions off per disc. Just one of those things - but you can look around for a universal remote (if it has subtitle button) and it might work. Or you can look around at secondhand remote/DVD decks online etc.

Up to you what you decide to do here. If it comes to the crunch, and you can no longer tolerate the subtitles being on all the time with each disc during manual playback, consider replacing the whole player (this is cheaper in the long term) - but only as a last resort, since Blu-Ray players (with DVD playback support) are becoming cheaper to buy. Something to think about later on if necessary.

I have two CH-DVD 300s.

Hi,
Please clean optical lens of player-1 that gives bad-disc error randomly, please use dry q-tip/ cotton bud to clean optical lens and need to take off top cover to access the lens, if you are handy with electronics stuff repair then should attempt that.
Player-2 remains in standby mode due to either power supply board or signal processor chip problem so I would suggest to transfer/ install its dvd mechanism in working dvd player-1 if lens cleaning does not fix the problem and you will get a working dvd player.
Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Dvd player does not power

This is an internal repair. There are two in-line capacitors nearest the power input. They will be very small capacitors (likely 470uF 10v). You must match the uF value and INCREASE the voltage value to make your dvd player live again.

Thank you!

It's keep loading, say bad disc

Hello,
The main cause for dvd players to not be able to read the discs and give you error messages such as "bad disc", "disc not recognized", etc is due to the optical lens being dirty or the discs themselves are scratched or dirty. There are a few more things that can cause similar problems, but these are by far the most common.
There are two ways in which to clean the optical lens, either manually or by using a cleaning disc. Using a cleaning disc is much easier and faster. Cleaning one manually requires you to open and remove the cover and the lens can be difficult to get to.
The following links from my tips and tricks will give you more detailed information on how to use both methods of cleaning the optical lens. You can also review an easy way to clean your cds and dvds as well at the following link. I would also like to provide you with some additional information about common mechanical problems with dvd players in case you need future information about problems.

I hope this information helps solve the issue you are having with your dvd player. If you need further assistance please feel free to ask and I wish you well.

If you would not mind, please rate my help. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You
