This appears to be a gear related problem. To begin with, please check the toner cartridge if its spilling toner. If it is, then the waste toner box is full and needs to be emptied. On the spring lever you will see a small hole, then open it and empty the waste. If need be, unscrew the two screws and completely empty it and the noise will be gone.

clean the mirrors for haze. and check for residual image on the drum for bad c blade

If I were you, I would install a new toner and the light will stop blinking and then one can make a copy.

The red tube means that the Drum Unit needs to be replaced. Good Luck

if you have replaced the toner unit the main cpu is bad not realLY worth fixing but this is a very good copier you can get them on ebay , this the only copier you can refilll the toner unit for $6 & DRUM FOR $15 get a AL1655 best deal

Dear sir; The L-6 error code it means "laser drive, motor", It can be reset, the procedure as follow;
1, press "clear", "exposure mode", "clear", "exposure" those keys.then machine go dead.
2, enter 14, then press print.follow the direction willtake car the problem.

H4 means the fuser can't heat up. The fuser lamp probably burned out. Sorry, nothing can be done without tools and new lamp

clean up paper delivery roller, if paper come out little bit out and stop, then you have a paper exit sensor damage

replace the toner

It depends... never use a Reman cart in these machines... only use sharp...especially if the machine is under warranty.

Does this happen when,
Using the Doc Feeder
When making copies from the Glass
Or when you print from a computer (assuming you print from a PC)

If you print something and this happens then it is inside the machine
Probably toner or developer dumping...

Take a few pieces of large white paper and cover the entire glass surface... make a copy is the line there? If so see the answer above... if not then close the top and make a copy with no paper on the glass... is that black line there.. If so then your top needs adjustment...

One more test
If you make a copy using the doc feeder, this black line only occurs when making copies with the doc feed, clean the **** glass, and try again...

-Did you try to replace the Toner Cartridge? if not try to replace and installed properly.
or check the Toner Cartridge if installed properly.
