Lights blinking so purchased new bulb, didn't fix

Most times client forgets to re install the access door to the lamp after replacement, but if you think the fan is bad try using compressed air and blow it out 1st with the set off. Recycle the ac. ( unplug set then replug it back in)

JVC TV lamp indicator light blinking new lamp

if you purcased a LTI lamp then the possibilty of a bad lamp may be the case. LTI lamps are cheap and are poorly manufactured. if it is a JVC lamp then you may have further problems such as lamp balast, or thermal sensor. clean the fans and filtersfor better air flow. keeping the lanp cool is important for the life of the lamp.

Tvand sound comes on but no picture

It is hard to say what the problem could be. A lot of boards on this unit can cause the same condition. Lets start out simple. Can you get the menu to pull up? If you can then check your connections at your inputs and at the components that you have hooked up to the TV. If you can't bring up the menu, then I would suggest having a servicer look at it. You could have a bad tuner causing this, a bad digital board, bad analog board or even a bad light engine. To many variables.

How to replace busted focus tube

They must have meant picture tube, a rear projection set has three picture tubes. One red, green and blue. One tube cost probably $150 - $250 and are not that hard to change but doing the necessary convergence adjustments can be difficult especially if you have not done them before. One thing that always makes it a difficult decision is when you put one new tube in will the other two still be in good enough condition to get a good color balance.
