What causes white vertical lines on dlp projector?

Possible fault on the mother board as there are noise on the LCD display. You might need help to sort this out if the fault does not clear even after the lamp works for some times.

Horizontal bar appears on screen from screeplay

That's usually from input device or cable. I had a DVD player that caused that. Did you try plugging another device into that input. What input are you using?

I have audio and can bring up the menu but no picture

what input are you using? if you are using vga, the cable may be bad. if component, make sure the h and v are not switched around. if rgb, make sure the blue and green are not switched. the green carries the h+v info. if composite, check the video cable. if all else fails, you may need to replace the main board.

Where is the light engine located? Saw that you

The entire lens assy and the colorwheel with the light tunnel are considered the engine. The connection is on the back end of the lens. Just look to see how the main board is connected to it and disconnect and then reseat it.

My Infocus 5700 won't power

Hi,

We can fix this. I believe you are handy enough to fix the power supply of this masterpiece.

I had 100% the same problem and finally figured it out. The problem is with one of the capacitors, and after lots of trial and error, and asking for advice, here it is: The capacitor is "C16" - a small blue electrolytic - 100uf 16v. It is in the center of the power supply board partially hidden by a black heat sink and the large silver chunk of metal.

Swapped for a 25v 100uf I had lying around and she works like a charm now.

Here's how it looked like on mine:

Blinking red light. projector won't turn on

The lamp life may have exceeded its safe limit, check your manual as you may have to press a specific button on the unit/remote for a length of time to reset it.

Good luck
