I have a ryobi chainsaw model number ry10518 & it seems to me that too much bar chain oil is coming out from the bottom of the chainsaw I took the bar cover off & cleaned it up real good is there some kind of an oring or something

There might or might not should be an O ring - if there is a correctly shaped recess to retain a ring there probably should be one but a look at the parts list would confirm. I agree a seal ring would probably make it less messy in use but of the fairly limited range of machines I have had in bits, I have yet to see one. A seal wouldn't change the volume of oil which is pumped from the oil tank by an engine driven pump. Sometimes the amount of oil is controlled by an adjustable regulator. I suggest you check in the instruction book or talk with the dealer's maintenance guy...

What is the air gap between the coil and flywheel

Set it at about .010"-.012". That is about the thickness of a standard business card (which many use to do just this same repair).

How much oil is required to change oil on a ryobi s430

I'd like an answer to that question also. Exactly, how much oil does the X430 take? ... what is the capacity? I do not need to know the oil type or that it is a 4 stroke and not a 2 stroke, thus no mix. I need to know the total oil capacity of the unit. I cannot tell if it is full. If the unit is level, it reads one thing. If the oil reservoir top at the plug is to be level.

Ryobi 40v trimmer. The string feeds longer and the motor starts to really labor to keep working, then motor starts burning once it gets into thicker weeds. What causes this and how can I fix it?

All the strimmers of my experience have a sharp blade set in the guard to cut the string when it exceeds a maximum length - maybe it is blunt or missing. "Thicker weeds" could be too much for a cordless grass trimmer that can only be efficient when it is running at maximum speed. Thicker weeds are likely to slow down the motor and prevent it cutting efficiently, reduce the amount of cooling air through the motor while increasing the current being consumed by the motor; hence an overheating motor. It is one of the physical laws that a horsepower can't be got out of a machine that doesn't have more than a horsepower going into it. With a cordless drill/driver there is a gearbox to provide a huge mechanical advantage - the motor turns fast and the chuck turns slowly, a grass trimmer can't have that advantage and with the power input being severely limited, the capability of the machine is similarly very limited. My 22cc petrol strimmer struggles and slows down when it encounters thicker weeds and needs a deal of patience and consumes string at a much greater rate. In the early days of the strimmer engine sizes as small as 16cc were available but over the decades they have grown significantly because they weren't powerful enough to provide satisfactory performance. Today I don't think I could buy my 22cc strimmer again.

My Ryobi S430 is very hard to pull the starter rope.

Remove spark plug and try again. If still hard to pull then most likely it needs new a new recoil starter.

I have a ryobi ss26 weed eater and it starts and will be running fine but when you go to actually cut the weeds it will run for a couple of minutes and then it dies. I have taken the carb apart and gone through all of it and it still does the same thing. I dont know what to do, can anyone help Please.

Fuel demand rises when an engine is put to work and that is probably why it is dying - either the fuel system or the carb is incapable of supplying that extra fuel or in an extreme case the crank seals might be failing. Assuming everything else is in good order and in the case of a carb with the customary two fuel screws it could be a matter of maladjustment. Correct adjustment is tricky and takes a deal of patience. If partially applying the choke, strangler or cold start as it begins to die makes it recover somewhat, I suggest you take another look at the fuel system and then the carb adjustment.
