Toro 52" 27hp Z Master Zero Turn Lawn Mower Questions & Answers
Trying to fix steering on a toro 360 quad steer, cant get it to track strait from front to back wheels.
If you're having trouble getting the Toro 360 quad steer to track straight from front to back wheels, there are a few potential issues that could be causing the problem:
- Wheel alignment: If the front and back wheels are not properly aligned, this can cause the steering to be off. Make sure to check the alignment of both the front and back wheels, and adjust them as necessary.
- Tire pressure: Uneven tire pressure can also cause the steering to be off. Make sure all tires are inflated to the recommended pressure.
- Steering linkage: Check the steering linkage for any signs of wear or damage. Replace any worn or damaged parts as necessary.
- Steering gear: The steering gear may need to be adjusted or replaced if it is causing the steering to be off.
- Suspension: Issues with the suspension system can also affect the steering. Make sure to check the suspension for any damage or wear, and replace any damaged parts.
If you're still having trouble getting the Toro 360 quad steer to track straight, it may be a good idea to take it to a professional mechanic for further inspection and proper fixing.
Changed filter, oil, full of gas checked gas flow everything is good , when I start m lawn mower it runs , when I engage my pto and start mowing for about 5 minutes it just quits
if this is got the 27 hp kohler engine, I know exactly whats wrong with it , due to grass and engine oil building up in a short time under cylinder heads , it actually makes a tight ball of grass and stuff there !! this holds the engine heat and ruins the ign module that's just above it there , I put two on in one season ( tractor runs 6-10 hrs day 6 days a week ) I finally gave up I bought a Kawasaki 27 hp twin and installed it , now its run for two seasons and no problems
engaging the pto has nothing to do with it , it would cut off if you just drove it around for 15 minutes
How to remove the clutch
Unplug clutch wire and remove bolt from clutch. Make sure you install it the same way it came off. Should have a notch in clutch that stops it from spinning around and ripping wire out of the clutch.
Replacing deck belt
Make sure that blades are not engaged which will cause the pulley to be out further making the belt too tight for install. There may also be a tensioner pulley that may need to be released.
Will not start after winter.
First thing to check is battery charge.
next would be safety switches. Even a bad PTO switch can cause it not to start.
52 '' exmark clicks as i try to start it
do have the belts off brake on and handles out if not it will do that or battery may need charged or soilnoid could be going bad if you turn the key on and off fast it usually will turn over
Safety switch - parking brake
You can but I wouldn't recommend it. I would get a multimeter and check switches for continuity. This will tell you if switches are good or bad. This switch could be a normally open or normally closed switch that is why I wouldn't recommend jumping it until you know what kind of switch you have. I think your defineitly on the right track though. Good luck. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Toro timecutter starter
I think this is going to be like an automotive starter. You will need to check 3 things. The ring gear where the starter gear cranks the engine, the starter gear that engages the ring gear, and the overrunning clutch or bendix , which is the springy part that kicks the drive gear into the ring gear. When you remove the starter from the engine, you will see the drive gear on the end of the starter that was inside the motor. The drive gear is about the diameter of a half dollar or a silver dollar. it should not be chewed up, it should look like a good gear. Inside the place where the starter attaches, you should see a ring gear, with a flashlight, and those teeth should look good and not chewed up. On the starter you removed, behind the drive gear and usually inside the starter is the bendix or overrunning clutch , which will push the drive gear into the ring gear when you crank the starter. These parts often fail every few years. Some people fix them, most people replace the whole starter.Be blessed.
