John deere instructions
Your mower doesn't have enough power to handle very thick grass at high speed. You need to go slower across the lawn. That's easy to do if this is a push mower (just don't walk so fast) or if it's a self-propelled model with a speed control. But if it's a single-speed model you'll have to mow the lawn in fits and starts: squeeze the lever to move it forward; release it when you hear it bogging down; wait for the motor to reach full speed; squeeze the lever to move it forward again; repeat. Also, is the grass very high? If so, try setting the cutting height higher on the first pass, then lower it for a second pass. Finally, make sure the blade is sharp.

LAWN MOWER HARD STARTING WHITE SMOKE
White smoke would indicate a fuel problem. The engine is flooding.
There are a lot of possibilities but the first area I would check is the carburetor float level and inlet needle.

190cc 675 sears push LM.
Did you drain fuel tank before refilling with fresh fuel? Drained carburator bowl good, drained crankcase and refilled with fresh oil good, removed air cleaner and dried out good. One question for you , did you remove spark plug and drain any water that may have gotten into your cylinder through an open valve? There could be water sloshing around in the cylinder, gas and water will not fire, and water on spark plug wont allow plug to spark. If you need any more help please get back to me , I believe this is the first under water problem I've encountered. GOOD LUCK.

875 Series Engine-cleaned flywheel and
You should put it at .020
Are you sure you had spark before you took it apart? If you are not sure, then the Ignition Coil may have went bad. How did it act before you decided to take it apart?

B&S 875 mounted on Troy Built Pressure washer:
I am going to assume that the fuel is leaking from the air filter area....coming out the front of the carburetor or out of the primer bulb. This is an indication that the float in the carb is not closing off the fuel internally in the carb. Most of the time this is caused by storing the unit with gasoline in it. Gas will turn thick and varnish the inside of your carb in as little as 90 days. The carb will need to be cleaned. Usually this is done by removing the carb and cleaning it with an aerosol carb cleaner. Sometimes you can get by with just removing the bowl from the bottom of the carb and lightly spray clean the float pivot area, the inside of the bowl, and the brass jet that hold the bowl on. The float should pivot freely and pushes up on a needle valve that closes off the fuel flow.
To prevent this in the future, use a fuel stabilizer in your gasoline. Or, when you are done using the equipment, run it until all the fuel is gone.
Your Troybilt unit is probably covered by a 2 year warranty, but old varnished fuel in the carb would probably not be covered.
Good luck!
