My iomega network drive just decided to not show

Reboot the network drive and the router, this usually works when mine doesn't show. You may need to disconnect any mapped drives, as it may show with a new ip address. Computer may also need to be rebooted.

Is it possible to recover data from Iomega home

Stop working? Can't detected in my computer? If the drive can be seen by device manager but not under My Computer, right click my computer and go to "Manage",select disk manager. You should see your harddrive either lister as foreign or not initialized. If foreign, it will give you an option to import and is not initialized, it will allow you to initialize it. This will hand over drive management to the OS and you should be able to see it in My Computer. If it dosen't recognize in Bios,it is probably dead. However there are still hopes for hard drive data recovery.Put the hard drive in a plastic bag to be compatible for the freezer. Freezing sometimes works to revive a dying hard drive, at least for a short time(Probable just about 20 minutes), but be sure that the bag is sealed tightly so that condensation and ice crystals don't form. Put it in your freezer for 24 hours that will do the trick. While it's still cold, plug it into your computer. And you may be able to view it in 'my computer'. And you may act quickly, because you may only have 20 minutes to recover data from hard drive and after that the hard drive is completely dead.If it fails, you will have to go to a recovery office where supply data recovery service but let's hope not because it will cost you a lot of money and whether they can recover hard drive data is not guaranteed.

I can see the Imogega Home Network Drive in my

This (and other problems having to do with accessing the drive or its folders) can be solved by:1. Removethe drive from its case2. Plug it into a computer3. Boot the computer to a Linux-based OS -- if you don't have a PC running Linux, download one of many Live CDs images available, e.g. Knoppix, and burn a CD with it (Live CD images are bootable), then boot the PC using the CD4. Login as the root user and open a terminal session5. If necessary, 'umount' the drive, e.g. 'umount /dev/sda2'6. Run 'xfs_repair -L <partition>' where <partition> is the partition to be repaired - in my case it was /dev/sda2, so running...xfs_repair -L /dev/sda2...was the command to do the repair. Note that the command is cAsE sEnSiTiVe.You may get a message about destroying a log file (that's what -L does) -- it's OK -- I've had to do this several times and no harm has come of it. The process can take several minutes, and at the end there may be a message about a bad superblock -- this is also harmless, so far as I've seen.7. Power down the PC8. Remove the drive, put it back in its enclosure, and Voila! -- all should be OK upon booting it up!

The folders for the iomega storage drive no longer

Make sure you are logged in as the Administrator of your computer. Power cycle (turn it off and back on) the device. If that doesn't fix the problem. Try factory resetting the unit (depress the reset button on the back of the unit for 4-5 seconds).
