How do I program a new keyless entry fob for a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ?

The Chevrolet Malibu is among the many Chevy cars that come with remote and keyless entry. With this technology, you can control your car's door locks, your trunk and your panic alarm from as far as a couple hundred feet away in the street or in a parking lot. Programming will take you only minutes from your driver's seat, and you will have the remote and the system transmitter ready to use right away. 1 Enter your Malibu and close all the doors. 2 Insert your key into the ignition. Cycle the key to "On," then "Off." Remove the key from the ignition. 3 Press and hold the "Unlock" tab on the driver's side door as you insert and remove the key from the ignition three times. 4 Release the "Unlock" tab. Press and hold both the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons on the remote until the car beeps twice. 5 Repeat Step 4 for any additional remotes. Remove your key from the ignition to end the programming sequence.

Unlock button on fob doesn't work for 2007 chevy malibu

Test Procedure 1 Diagnostic System Check (requires scanner) 2 Transmitter Test (requires transmitter tester) Most times if lock/unlock works correctly from interior switches problem is transmitter. IT CAN BE TESTED with J 43241 Keyless Entry Tester. This is most times only found at larger GM dealerships. Take it into parts department and ask to be tested before replacement. BE SURE THEY HAVE THE TESTER. smaller dealerships very often do not. If it tests good, Diagnostic System Check is required.

Where is the valet switch on a 2004 chevy malibu

There should be a key specifically for a valet.
1) Open one of your vehicle's doors and turn the ignition, using the car key, to the "Run" position. Check to see that the dome light comes on. Make sure that you have the dome light set to the position where it powers the light when the door is opened, as there are usually three settings: one for "On," one for "Off" and one for when a door is opened.
2) Press the valet remote push-button to access the channel that you want to program: once for "Arm/disarm," twice for "Trunk Release" and three times for "Remote Start." The valet push-button is usually located under the driver's side panel, and it must be pressed within 15 seconds of opening the door. The push-button may also be installed underneath the kick panel.
3) Press the valet push button once again and wait to hear a chirping or a honking sound. If you do not hear either of these sounds, your vehicle might have a jumper installed that has turned the valet programming feature off. Refer to your vehicle's instructional manual to learn how to set the valet programming feature to the "On" position. Keep holding the valet button pressed as you continue onto the next step.
4) Push the button on the remote that you wish to assign to a particular valet channel. Press the button on the hand-held valet remote that you wish to assign to a particular valet channel. If you wish to program multiple remotes, repeat this step for each of them. If you program four or more remotes, the old programming will be erased.
5) Let go of the valet push-button and exit your vehicle. Your handheld remote is now ready to use.
Tips & Warnings - Some valet remote channels require different programming individually, so refer to the owner's manual or to the link provided in the "Resources" section of this article, for specific instructions.
- Valet remote programming methods may vary, depending on the vehicle's make and model.

I have Tahoe 2008.

You need to get a new actuator. Check it with the switch inside to verify the mechanism. Usually this is an indication that the actuator is bad, especially when all the other ones function correctly.

How to reset automatic sliding door on chevy venture van

The rear side door actuator control modules monitor the power sliding door positions at all times. Whenever the battery positive voltage supply to a rear side door actuator control module has been removed or the on-board diagnostics have been activated the power sliding door system(s) must be re-initialized. Re-initialize the right or left power sliding door systems using the following steps:
  1. Turn the ON/OFF switch for the power sliding door system to be re-initialized to the OFF position.
  2. Manually open the power sliding door completely.
  3. Manually close and latch the power sliding door.
  4. Turn the power sliding door ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
  5. Open the power sliding door completely using the B-pillar or overhead console OPEN/CLOSE switch.
  6. Close the power sliding door completely using the B-pillar or overhead console OPEN/CLOSE switch.

sounds like the alternator is not putting out. If you start the car and remove the battery cable and the engine shuts off then the alternator is bad and you need to change it.
