Hilti TE 70 Hammer Drill Performance Package Questions & Answers
My hilti te-75 drills but is not hammering
Have seen this problem with some 'none' HILTI bits which do not fit correctly into the SDS chuck.
Tends to be with larger drill bits which have a wider shank than the SDS connector, the wider shank hits the end of the drill nose which stops the end of the drill bit contacting with the internal hammer.
Solution is to purchase original bits from Hilti. If you have OEM bits and chisel it will be another problem. Hope this helps.
IT WILL NOT COME ON
Please check the the manual on page 15

We have a TE706AVR &
unless you are very mechanically inclined I would take it in for repair. You can do most of it yourself but you will have a problem with the striker and the seals that go on it and then inserting it into the spindle. You can go to Hilti.com and download a breakdown for this tool which shows the parts listing and parts 75, 76 and 77 there is no easy way to work with these, I have done it but sometimes I tore the new seals just putting them on the striker. If you don't want to take it to Hilti (which I understand) I would check into another repair shop that repairs them, but if you want to try it yourself let me know and I will try and walk you thru it.
