Car alarm doesn't go off with light impact
that alarm has an impact sensor which will detect sharp impacts to your vehicle. No shaking will set off the alarm unless you buy the digital level sensor also available from directed electronics , the makers of Viper car alarm,
please also note you must wait 20 seconds after arming the alarm to test any sensors. If you arm the alarm and immediately open a door or test a sensor ,that door or sensor will be considered a defective zone and will be bypassed and will not setoff the alarm tell you reset the alarm by turning the ignition key on and off.

My viper alarm system when armed and disarmed there is no sound from the speaker
Either the system is in valet or, the chirps have been deleted or, the siren is broken. If the LED is on solid the system is in valet. open the door, press lock, unlock, lock on the remote to remove valet.Press and hold the lock button. This activates the car finder/panic. The siren should begin to wail. If it does, the siren works. If it doesn't and all you see is the aprking lights flashing the siren is defective.

I need to program a fob or remote system not
If your short a key fob or lost yours this is a cheap way to replace it.
I purchased my fob on ebay for $30 and programmed it myself.
**Read all the way through. The last line is important.**
1. Make sure all doors, hood and trunk are closed.
2. Open the trunk door.
3. Open the drivers door and sit in the drivers seat.
4. Close the drivers door.
5. Turn ignition switch to on and off 5 times ending in off.(do not start the car turn to just before starting)
Your alarm light will turn on and the siren on the alarm will chirp to let you know it is ready.
(this can also be used to test if you have the alarm)
6. Open the drivers door stay in the seat close the drivers door.
7. Press any button on the remote. The light will flash to indicate your remote has been programmed.
8. Repeat steps 6 & 7 to program any other remotes, up to 4 remotes a car.
9. To exit program mode open drivers door leave the door open. Close the trunk lid and close the drivers door the
siren should chirp again and the red light will shut off. Test your remotes to make sure they work right.
******Note all the steps from 2 - 5 must be done within 45 seconds. Step 5 must be done within 10 seconds.

I reeplaced the fuel pump,
You must put the alarm on a valet mode to see if the alarm is causing this problem
To enter or exit Valet Mode
1. Turn the ignition on
2. Turn the ignition off
3. Press and release the valet switch within 10 seconds
The status Led will light solidly if you are entering valet mode, and it will go out if you are exiting valet mode.
To enter or exit Valet Mode using the transmitter:
1. Open any vehicle door.
2. Press and realese lock and unlock buttons at the same time
3. Press and realese Aux button
4. Press and realese the lock and unlock button at the same time again
The status led will light solidly if you are entering Valet Mode and it will go out if you are exiting Valet Mode
Now when in Valet Mode try to start the engine, if the problem persist the alarm has nothing to do with it

HI,
Check your alternator wiring connections first.
This may occur due to three reasons
1)Loose battery cables.
2)Defective battery.
3)Bea cause of Fuses.
3)Alternator.
*)Take the battery to have it tested.Check the voltage with your volt or multi-meter, it should read around 12.5v. If there's an Auto zone there, they do free testing If you gradually lose battery power, it's the alternator. If there is no power at all, check your fuses.
*)Look over all of your fuses, to make sure none of them such as the fuel pump fuse, or the fusable link have burned out
*)Check your alternator wiring connections first.
*)Likewise if your vehicle is equipped with a MAP (manifold absolute pressure sensor) be sure that is plugged in correctly.
post a comment for further assistance.
Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

Sorry, but it is my opinion that car alarms are really, really foolish.
Cars are extremely hostile environments for delicate electronics.
Adding alarms is begging for problems that will leave you without a car.
If you lock any valuables in the trunk, out of sight, there is no reason for an alarm. All an alarm will do is either fail and prevent you from driving, or fail and get you a ticket for a false alarm.

Viper Alarm app says Not Armed but locked
If the Viper Alarm app is showing that the alarm is "Not Armed" but the vehicle is locked, it is possible that the alarm system is not communicating properly with the app.
One solution is to try resetting the alarm system by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This can sometimes help to reset the communication between the alarm system and the app.
If this does not work, it may be necessary to contact Viper customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide troubleshooting tips or suggest a software update for the app or alarm system.
