McCulloch 30cc 2Cycle 180 MPH Gas Powered Backpack Blower (CARB Compliant) ASB3206CA () Questions & Answers
Mcculloch leaf blower does not blow hard enough
Hi David,First I think I would check your exhaust screen in muffler to see if it is plugged, this would cause the engine not to rev max rpms which would in turn not blow full capicity out the tube, If this is o.k. then I would try running the choke partialy on and see if it improves the sitiuation, if so then replace your fuel filter and clean your carb out (take apart and check for gum, varnish, dirt .If you are careful you can clean this and put back together, but sometimes there is no choice but to put carb kit in...remember to clean fuel inlet screen and change needle valve, cause it has a neopreme tip snd this gets soft and gooey from ethanal in the gas now days.. you'll have it going in no time !
.comi need to buy carburetor
PN should be 753-04408 this carb comes with the fuel hoses and mounting screws.
Your model number should be something like this:
41AS320G977 or AS320G977 the 6CA ending just does NOT cross anywhere.
Let me know if there is an error in your model number as posted. I can find your parts. I think I already have.
One more way of going about this is if you can pass along all the numbers (letters) you can find stamped on the carb. I can use that to get you the repair kit.
I need something better to work with at this time as the number you passed just is not working.
Thanks,
Kelly
What is the fuel mixture ratio?
this will run on 50-1 mix,,but i would run it on a 40 - 1 mix unless yuou use the right 2 stroke engine oil,,if you use car engine oil mix it at 40 - 1 look at it this way,,,its a 2 stroke so it needs oil or it will seize up and reck your engine,,if you put a little more oil in it will smoke a little bit more but it will never seize up,,,mine is 20 years old now,,,time speeks dont it?
When I squeaze the trigger
Yes. You are right. The cable is being pulled when you are twisting the handle. When you have the handle turned and you get full speed, when you let off the trigger does it go back to an idle? If so then tighten the handle at that point.
I can't find an oil reservoir on this model ?
Welcome to the wonderful world of 2 cycle engines. Your McCullough blower uses a fuel mix to lubricate the piston. You MUST mix 3.2 ounces of 2 cycle mix to every gallon (U.S.) of gasoline.
If you run straight gasoline through your blower, you will RUIN the engine in seconds!
The fuel mix ratio is crucial to the lifespan of the engine. DO NOT GUESS.......MEASURE !!
I would also encourage you to purchase a 2 cycle mix that contains a fuel stabilizer. Gasoline starts to degrade in as little as 60 days, and a stabilizer will allow your fuel to stay fresh longer.
Good luck.
