Can't press the back of
A jeweler's press provides an equal amount of force around the edges of the watch back without putting that same pressure on the watch crystal (which could cause it to crack or break). If you have a flat crystal, you might have success in putting the watch between two pieces of wood and using a regular vice to very gently push the front and back together. However, you risk doing damage to your watch crystal.
Your safest bet may be to go to a jewelry store or jewelry counter in a department store and ask if they could close the back for you with the proper tool. You may have to tip them a few dollars, but that is still far cheaper than the cost of replacing a broken watch crystal.

The links will have locking pins holding them in place, unless you have the required expertise / tools - would suggest not to attempt doing this yourself.
You will need to slide the locking pins out, in the direction of the arrow and the links would disconnect. Once you have the required number of links disconnected, you can go ahead and remove the latch from the last link and reconnect it to the new link! :)

Hello,
Thank you for using fixya.com
Looking at the movement
side of the watch with a loupe, look at the area where the winding stem
comes through the case and into the movement. If you zoom out a bit and
look about the surface of the movement "USUALLY" in a quartz movement
you will see an arrow pointing to a brass or polished steel button.
This button is normally perpendicular to the stem axis. Sometimes
however it could be a screw. You need to depress the button with a
plastic stick while gently pulling on the stem. For a screw obviously
unscrew but only enough to remove the stem NO MORE one or two turns are
sufficient. Once the stem is removed you can remove any case
attachments and remove the movement and then determine how to remove
the hands and dial.
I hope this helps.
