Citizen Blue Angels Skyhawk Watch - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How to set the digital and analog as the same time
They are supposed to move in unison, if you are setting the digital time and the analog is not moving, there is a problem with the watch and it could need service. Here is a link to the manual for the watch, the movement for the Blue Angels is a C300 and you will see the manual also states the time mechanisms move in tandem.

Citizen does have service centers all over the globe, I am sure you can get the watch fixed if it does need service, You can find the local service center at the Citizen web site. Hope that helps.

How To Set Time
The first very important thing to figure out is what caliber movement are you trying to set, a lot of people get frustrated when attempting to set their watch because they were using the wrong set of setting instructions.
Citizen released 2 versions of the Blue Angels Skyhawk, the only difference is one is titanium and the other stainless steel, both have very similar model numbers: JY0040-59L and JY0050-55L. The same caliber movement was used in both models, which is the caliber U60 atomic timekeeping movement.
NOTE: The watch must be able to detect radio waves during setting.
Citizen provides excellent and easy to follow setting instructions on their website, simply go to
http://citizenwatch.com confirm your location, input your watch model in the search box located in the header section of the site, in this case we are searching for Skyhawk. Select your timepiece from the search results and click on the setting instructions link located below the image of the watch. There is a .pdf version and a video clip I would recommend to familiarize yourself with both. We're here to help, if you encounter any difficulty along the way give us a call at (212) 840-0441, or visit our website

Hope this helps.

How, i could to put my watch to hour
In general this watch is set by setting the digital portion and the hands will set automatically. Start there. There are other potential problems but start by setting the digital. Make sure the battery is charged first. If that doesn't do it, then you may need to do a reset (see the instructions). This will insure the hands all line up at the 12 oclock position. Try setting first however the digital portion and see what happens

I have an older skyhawk
I had the same issue. I found a way that makes the watch look new again. If you buy a sharpie marker and color the whole face It will color in the numbers and around them. t After you have done that, rub a moistened rag over the face of the watch. This will remove all the excess black marker, and it should look new for a few months.

Re. Citizen Blue Angel. Case
Hi bravofoxt126,
The C300-Q00842 TA GN-4-S 19425 is one of the case back markings that you can find on your citizen watch. C300 is called the movement caliber (4 digits) and the rest is your case number. This will be very helpful for you when you need to request for parts, service, setting instructions or other information.
Hope it helps.
Thank you for using Fixya.

How do u set the time
complicated, very complicated. Go to Citizen website and they have directions for all their watches. Basically, you set the digital and the hands then correct to what the digital readouts say.

Off for several years, put new battery in and all
Hi
Take the watch off and point the 9:00 position of the watch towards a window. The Blue Angel watch is an atomic watch, which means it automatically receives a time signal from atomic time clocks throughout the world, including the U.S. and Japan. Set the watch on a stable surface, if possible, for the best reception.Pull the crown (the small knob in the middle of the right-hand side of the watch) out until one click is heard.Turn the crown until the mode hand, which is located on the lower half of the watch face, is aligned with "TME."Press the button on the top right-hand side of the watch until the correct home city is displayed in the window on the lower right-hand side of the watch face.Push the crown back in to the side of the watch. Push the button located on the lower right-hand side of the watch.Look at the second hand on the watch display for the letters "H," "M" or "L," which indicates that the watch has been set and is ready to use.
