My Lenovo, G550 turns on

Hi eseitz26,

For your G550 issue that no display will show on your screen after turning it on although all the lights are showing there are different reasons why you're getting this issue. The two most common issues are:

(1) The system just needed to be refreshed and reset the BIOS. Don't worry because resetting BIOS is just easy and you can do this on your own. Simply power drain your machine.

Here's how: Shut down your PC >> Remove the battery and unplug AC adapter >> Without any power source press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds (nothing will happen yet) >> Put back the battery and the charger >> Then, turn on your PC.

(2) The LCD cable from your screen going to the motherboard is loosed, that needed to be repaired or defective, and it needs replacement. For this one, you may contact Lenovo to give you options about the repair.

Well, in some rare cases screen might be also defective and needs replacement. You may also take a look on that possibility.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

How do i enter supervisor password on my lenovo

Step 1: Enter Safe Mode

a)Start or re-start your computer.

b)Before the Windows 7 loading screen appears, Press 'F8? to enter Advanced Boot Options.

c)Use arrows to choose 'Safe Mode' when you can see the Advanced Boot Options screen.

d)Press 'Enter' and wait for Windows 7 files to load.

e)Log on with an administrator account when you can see the log on screen

Note: Well, when you are presented with the Advanced Boot Options screen, there are 3 types of Safe Mode. They are the Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking and Safe Mode with Command Prompt, and the 3 options are all available for you. Here above we take Safe Mode as an example, but if you choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt, you'll need to input related to command prompt to reset the password.

Step 2: Reset the forgotten Windows login password in Windows 7

Now you could diagnose and solve some serious computer problems in the safe mode and reset the forgotten Windows login password in Windows 7 as follows:

1.Click 'Start' button, input 'lusrmgr.msc' into the Search box and press 'Enter'.

2.In the 'Local Users and Groups screen', click 'Users'.

3.Right-click the account that you need to reset the password for, and then click 'Set Password'.

4.Type and confirm the new password, click 'OK'. (You can go to 'Local Users and Groups' screen by right-clicking 'Computer' to select 'Manage' on desktop.)

Step 3: Log on your password protected PC again with the new password since you have successfully performed Windows password reset for Windows 7.

Help ive forgotten the administrator password on

You CAN enter your Lenovo computer by clearing the current administrator password.

Windows Login Password Recovery is the tool that you need in your case. The password recovery tool is designed to reset Windows login password once you accidentally forgot it or have no access to your system including Windows 7, Vista, XP etc. By burning a bootable CD, you can enter almost any computer with Windows administrator login password protected within a few seconds. Here are the step by step tutorial, pretty easy, I am sure you can handle it!

Step 1: Download Windows Password Recovery and install it on another computer.
Step 2: Prepare a blank CD/USB and run the software and use it to burn the ISO file to it.
Step 3: Put it into the CD-ROm and restart your locked computer. Change the BIOS setting of your locked computer to make it boot from the CD-ROM or USB drive. Note: start computer and press F2 or Delete to enter BISO setup
Step 4: Boot your locked computer from the created disk and remove your forgotten password.

No display on laptop

Okay the next step is to hook a monitor to the video output, if picture is present, it means the inverter board is the likely problem, [located under the LCD screen] or the backlight behind the display. Now if both show the same symptom it is the video graphics chip.

Repair charge batteri

If thelaptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptablecharge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Lenovo g550 turns off when power supply is disconnected ,battery shows fully charged

Replace the battery, it's faulty.Batteries only have a useful life, then they have to be replaced. Sounds like yours is doing like the ink cartridges, where they register as being full of ink when actually there is no ink in the cartridge.
