Canon Pixma Mp250 Allinone Inkjet Photo Laser Printer Questions & Answers
My printer is flashing P07 and not working
The P, 0, 7 error indicates that the waste ink absorber is full. Canon assumes that the printer will be replaced at this point; the counter connected to this error is set to the expected number of cleaning cycles and pages printed for the life of the printer. So unless it is under warranty, you may want to just replace the printer.
To solve the error, you would need to disassemble the printer carefully and clean or replace the sponges that absorb ink during use. These are at the very bottom of the printer and moving them could get ink everywhere. At minimum, keep the printer on some layers of newspaper. Then you could rinse the absorbers under cool running water until the water runs clear. Next, dry the pads completely and reassemble the printer. Then you need to find a way to reset this counter. (There are a few videos online but the reset procedures given do not always work.)
If you do the reset before cleaning or replacing the absorbers, eventually the ink will spill out of the printer.
I hope this helps.

Will not feed paper and nothing prints when it does
Hmmm it seem complicated:) I presume paper feed intermittently however there is no print marked on the paper. Let me start resolving the paper feed problem assuming there is no other mechanical problem detected during POST (Power On Self Test): Most of the paper feed problem is caused by blockage on the paper tray you can turn the printer up-side-down to remove the objects such as staple wires, etc.. while printout problem is caused by ink cartridge problem clogging or blockage. The worst case is when the printer head cable is broken somewhere that triggers the firing of pin holes. Please managed to check whichever applicable:) Gooduck!
Why is may printer l not turning on after not using it for a month?
Good morning, my name is Steve. Have you tried another wall socket? If you are using a power strip, unplug the printer from it and plug directly into the wall. Check connection that is plugged into the back of unit. Sometimes a little nudge can cause the problem. I do not know how long you have owned this printer, but if it is out of warranty, Canon will sell you a "refurbished' like=item" for very much less. Also it would not hurt to get extended warranty for the next printer, whom-ever you purchase your next printer. Like Canon, they have given the inkjet printer a new name....useful life.Remember the printer manufacturing companies came up with a solution to "color-based" printing needs and these smaller, convenient solutions were created to market the ink. Sorry about the bad news. Think about how much you use the color printing. If you use it quite a bit 2-3 times a month. Or if you have children who use it for school projects, the dry-ink printer (laser) have considerably come down in price. Just something to consider. The wet inkjet type printers do not have user replacement parts other than a power cord or different type of photo paper. Sorry I could not give you any better solutions.Let me know if you have any other questions,I'll be happy to answer them, Best regards,Steve
How do i clean the ink absorber in my canon mp250 printer
The Printer is asking for the Waste pads to be removed and replaced. This is a kit that you must purchase separately. Also the Maintenance counter will need to be reset as well. CAUTION this is a very messy job to perform. The cabinet (bonnet)cover needs to be removed. There are also some "hidden" clips that need to be unfastened to gain access to the Absorbing pads. A qualified printer Tech. can handle this. Also previous posts indicate to just reset the Maintenance count.....bad idea. This will throw-off the already soaked pads, and you will have unexpected "spillage"coming out of your printer. A VERY BIG MESS. Also think about the Print Head. If it has not been replaced, it is also not very far behind the Waste Tank Pad replacement. Good Luck, Best Regards Stephen AKA Machinercylr

How to fix my printer pixma e500.everytime i try to print Error Number 5200?what is this??
This is a typical error stating that your ink cartridges are rejected. If you are "refilling" them from a vender, or yourself, keep in-mind there are tricks to disable the operation of your printer's memory. Every printer has a memory, and if you are resetting it for a remanufactured Cartridge, chances are you will run into other problems such as the waste pads saturated to a point of shorting out the connections from the carriage to the main boards. Also F.Y. I. when a cartridge is just about out,it will rely on the color cartridge to "mix" colors to give you a "close to" black color. So if you are using the refill method, get both colors replaced at the same time. Canon added this along with other companies to ensure the ink costs will work in "their best interests."And keep in mind of the "Tips and Tricks" solutions..Hope this helps
How to reset printer
hi there, try to uninstall the printer software on the computer then restart the computer and reinstall the canon software, hope it helps otherwise return here
Why the ink not ejected?
Either one or two things can be wrong. If this is a refilled ink cartridge, the resistor could be shorted out, or-within the carriage unit. The contacts itself can be dirty. The ink jet printers that are being made now also have the cartridges made so refilling is not an option. sure the are a few ways to get around it,but in the long run, problems do arise with printing as far as, no print at all, colours are not consistant or missing. Using the newer printers also have ways of disabling the utilities inorder to monitor the ink levels, If this is turned off,so is part of the embedded memory functions. This can lead to other problems such as purchasing a "newer" unit of a refurbished printer.
Problem with ink
It sounds like there's a blockage somewhere. It could be to do with the print-head or internal tube that's blocked.
