I still see lots of people use the iPad 1 and as long as they don't want newer apps it is still a great machine. Hi, I think you need to do a hard restart. Press the round button on the front of your device whilst also pressing the on/off switch at the top right hand edge. Hold both down until the apple appears. This will not harm your device.
