Can I replace my non backlit keyboard with a backlit one?

If it is for your exact model than that keyboard should work. The backlight function is built into the keyboard itself not the laptop. I hope that helps

How do you take a

You can take a screen shot of a Windows computer screen and then turn it into a
graphic using a graphics software application. This is useful for reproducing a Web page
in print or for documenting an error message for technical support.

Instructions:
1 Set up your computer to display the screen that you want to capture.
For example, if you want to take a picture of your Web site, open your home page
in the browser that you normally use.

2 Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. This captures a "snapshot" on the Clipboard.

3 Open a graphics program, such as MS Paint.

4 Open a new file.

5 Paste the contents of the Clipboard into your document (Ctrl+V).

6 Your file now contains an image of the screen that you captured.
Name your file and save it in the graphics format of your choice.

Hope this will helpful.

Thanks for using FixYa : )

Problem: remove keyboard ASUS K72JK-TY043V.Thanks

The Asus K72JK-TY043V Notebook PC is one of the Asus K series of Notebook PC's.

This shows how to remove the Keyboard,

http://www.insidemylaptop.com/disassemble-asus-k-series-notebook/

Shown is a disassembly guide, and of course you do not need that.

What I am referencing to is midway down the page under the bold heading >

Removing Keyboard.

The Keyboard is held in, by plastic tabs that are on the Palm Rest Cover.

These tabs are spring loaded. You press against each spring loaded tab, and depress it.

This action unlocks the Keyboard from the spring loaded tab.

There are Five spring loaded tabs.

The spring loaded tabs are located above the following keys;

1) Esc key
2) F5 key
3) F9 key
4) Prt Scr
5) End

Use a small flat bladed screwdriver such as a Jewelers flat tipped screwdriver.

Carefully press the tab TOWARDS to LCD screen.

Once a tab is depressed it unlocks. Go to the next tab.

The back of the Keyboard is towards the LCD screen.
Lift up on the back of the Keyboard.

DO NOT try to remove it at this time, as there is a flat cable attached to the Keyboard.

The Keyboard cable is an FFC.
Flat Flex Cable.

The Keyboard FFC does NOT have a connector attached to it.
The connector is permanently mounted to the motherboard.

The Keyboard's FFC removes from the connector on the motherboard. Just a flat cable hanging from the Keyboard.

The connector on the motherboard is a ZIF connector.
Zero Insertion Force.

This particular ZIF connector has a Lock Clip on it, that is slid slightly to one side.

As you view the flat flex cable coming into the connector, and above the connector, the clip is slid to the Left to unlock.

NOT very far. Approximately 2 Millimeters, or close to 1/16th of an inch.

Have questions please post in a Comment.

Asus K501 laptop - what

The number 1, in a padlock, means "Number Lock". If your computer has a numberpad, this is fine. If it doesn't, it means that the letter keys to the right will act as numbers (often printed on the keytop in a blue colour).

My web shows upside down

Hi and welcome to Fixya!

For the inverted view of your webcam, try to follow these steps:

1. Run the camera through the Windows Explorer.
2. Your camera built-in will apear upside down, right? Inside the folder with the drivers provided by ASUS thereĀ“s a software called tsnp2std.exe.
3. With your camera opened, run this application; you will notice a small icon in tray area; right click on it and now choose the option: Open Property Page.

Well, now you will have the option to setup and adjust the settings.

Hope this helps!

How do I remove the

Try these steps:
1. Place your laptop on a clean, flat surface and remove all power sources from it. Open your laptop screen as far as you can.
2. Use the flathead screwdriver to pop open the hinge cover. Slowly and carefully pry it open from the right side to the left side, exposing the Asus keyboard screws. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the Asus K50IJ Keyboard in place. Keep these screws in a safe place.
3. Gently tug the Asus K50IJ Keyboard component toward your laptop screen. You are trying to pull it out of the slot that is located near the palm rest and mouse pad. It doesn't take much force, but you must be firm. Once you have pulled it out of the slot, you can lift it up and remove it from your laptop.

My laptop screen overheated when

Hi there, You need to get your monitor replaced unfortunately. This could be over $200 to repair. If you are familiar with laptop screens, it is not very hard to replace the monitor yourself, but if you do not know exactly what you are doing take it to a local repair shop and have them do it for you.
