Water not draning
When a unit has an issue draining one of the first things to check on the unit would be to listen if you can hear the sound of the Drain pump activating. If the Drain pump were makeing sound and running then first your would go under the sink area and disconnect the drain line that goes to either the garbage disposal or sink. After disconnecting the drain line you would look inside where the drain line connects to to assure there is no blockage in the port hole area that the water flows. If you do not see a blockage here then you would have no choice but to pull the unit out from under your counter and check the oppisite end of the drain line as well as the drain pump itself. Also there is a float switch located near the water inlet valve that when activated signals the pump to start pumping out the water. It is also sugggested to remove the drain pump if you do not hear it running an take an old extension cord and cut off the female end. After you remove the female end of the extension you would then add two cclip electrical connectors to the extension cord this would make a powered jumper wire. You can then plug one side into the pump and the other side into a outlet which would activate the pump and allows you to visually assure that the impellar is spining. My Kenmore Elite 15919001 just stop working from
yes, it sounds like a fuse, or a circuit breaker tripped, or, if it is a plug-in connection, it may have come unplugged(outlet usually under sink. Might also have a loose connection in dishwasher connection box ..CAREFUL HERE;VOLTAGE MAY BE PRESENT!!!
...IT MAYBE THE DOOR IS NOT FULLY PUSHED IN TO ENGAGE SAFETY SWITCH
My older built in Kenmore 3380957 Rev.A dishwasher.
If it is doing when it is washing, then it likely to be a problem with the pump, but it might just be 'hunting' because the filters are partially blocked. There is the filter that you can see easily, but there is a fine filter underneath that blocks with fine grey lint.
Water left in the bottom can be caused by that because the drain pump is past the filter and is on a timer.

Kenmore dishwasher model 587 has ERR code and lights flashing.
If you're experiencing an ERR code and flashing lights on your Kenmore dishwasher model 587, it indicates an error or fault in the dishwasher's operation. Unfortunately, without specific details about the error code or which lights are flashing, it's challenging to provide a precise solution. However, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check the owner's manual: Refer to the dishwasher's manual for a list of error codes and their meanings. It should also provide troubleshooting steps specific to your model.
2. Power cycle the dishwasher: Turn off the dishwasher by unplugging it from the power outlet or shutting off the circuit breaker that supplies power to it. Leave it disconnected for a few minutes to ensure a complete power cycle. Then, plug it back in or switch the circuit breaker back on.
3. Check for obstructions: Inspect the dishwasher's interior, specifically the spray arms, filters, and drain pump, for any obstructions such as food debris or foreign objects. Clean or remove any blockages that you find.
4. Run a diagnostic cycle: Some dishwashers have a diagnostic mode that can help identify the cause of the error. Refer to the manual for instructions on how to initiate the diagnostic cycle.
5. Contact customer support: If the issue persists or you are unable to determine the cause of the error, it's recommended to reach out to Kenmore customer support or a qualified appliance repair technician. They will be able to provide further assistance and help resolve the problem.
Remember, the specific steps and options may vary depending on your dishwasher model. Consulting the owner's manual is always the best course of action when troubleshooting appliance issues.
