Snaggs, If your model number begins with 417 it could be a couple of issues. Start with the drain pump. Remove the bottom panel and see if the pump is clogged with coins or debris. It will be on the right. Check the pump impeller. Have a bunch of towells handy as you will have a lot of water coming out at you. When you drop the bottom panel you will be able to see if the belt is on in back. If this does not clear up the problem, more than likley it will be in the motor control board. Catriver...post back.

kenmore he2 front load washer

Washer is "stuck" in mid-cycle and will not drain and spin. Manual suggests a drain hose issue. Have tried to drain and spin, machine seems like it wants to do this, but can't. Tried all troubleshooting options, nothing has helped. After a few minutes, all lights around cycle choices flash. What's the deal?

Open the panel with 1/4 in socket. Turn white plastic cap filter counter clockwise. remove debris. replace. Run rinse and spin cycle. reopen cap and check for any new debris. replace filter cap and put cover back on. put $65 in bank. Send note to Eddie Lampert and tell him that Sears sucks and he'll never save it as long as they keep screwing their customers by not telling them about a simple fix like like this to an obviously common problem.

Kenmore 417. 4405200 Front Load Washer error code E43

I?m stuck, and desperately need help. The washer completes wash cycles, but never spins. After performing the diagnostic test from the washer tech data sheet, I get error code E43 (Control Board problem) the washer does spin in the diagnostic test. I ordered a new control board, replaced it, same result. I then ordered the speed control board, same result. I have performed a continuity check on every wire in the washer, both vacuum tubes are clear; the pump is clear and pumps the water out. One of the Shock Absorber, air, stabilizers is broken (on back order until the end of the month) should be here the 31st. Any ideas ???? Thanks in advance De_fender

It's a bad wax motor inside the door latch. The diagnostics are buggy and do not test it properly. It should measure about 1.5K ohms, and when 120 VAC is applied to it, it should extend in about a minute. Part number 12002535 is $10 to $15.

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

4-yr old Kenmore front-load washer model # 417 44142400 stops at rinse cycle. Washer will fill wash and drain water, but rinse cycle not working. Washer stops at rinse cycle after draining wash water and tumbling a couple of times, and makes humming noise. Dial does not advance after this. Washer spins fine if you manually advance the dial to the spin cycle. Problem occurs on all wash/rinse/spin settings tried.

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

excessive drum vibration

We have a kenmore he2 plus frontend loader which is experiencing excessive vibration. The machine had been serviced from a sears tech who balanced the drum as the machine was balanced. The excessive vibration stopped and as a result the leaking water from the front dispenser, which was a result of the vibration.
I have verified the balance of the machine and suspect the drum has unbalance again.
Does anyone have any recommendations to rectify this fault..Thankyou in advance

Yes, look into trading in the Kenmore for one of only two manufacturers that employ a dynamic balance system built into the washer drum. Samsung and LG both use this dynamic balance system that balances the load while it is in motion. They also use a vibration sensing system to modify the time and speed of the spin cycles to minimize any vibration that might still be present. LG has this available on only their upper level models while Samsung's VRT is available on most all models. I believe that both of these manufacturer's are available from Sears.

Hi,
It sounds like you have something stuck in the pump.
To repair
Unplug machine.
Remove bottom front panel(remove 2-3 screws in the bottom) Pull bottom of panel out and down to remove.
Towards the center bottom you will see the pump. On the front is a round thing that resembles a filter. This is the pump filter screen...Get a shallow pan to put under screen. Turn lid counter clockwise to remove(turn slowly and allow water to drain. As you may need to dump pan several times before all water is drained out. Be carful or you could end up with water everywhere. Once the water is drained pull out screen and remove the debris and objects stuck in screen and filter housing you should also be able to see the impeller on the pump inspect for debris. Once everything is cleaned out reverse removal procedures put back together.

what is the age of

what is the age of my kenmore dryer model # 110.66662500?

Answer

The age of the appliance is determined by the SERIAL NUMBER. Kenmore, which is manufactured by Whirlpool uses the format described in the following link:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576437-determining_the_age_of_your_whirlpool_ap

The 2nd DIGIT in the serial number determines the YEAR it was manufactured. The next two NUMBERS after that digit represent the WEEK (52 weeks in a year) it was manufactured.

If you have any questions as to how to determine the date based on your serial number, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.
