The first thing to do is to CHECK IN AND AROUND THE RUBBER DOOR BOOT (called a bellow) for small articles of clothing (like socks and underwear) that may have gotten lodged in behind the rubber. Pull the rubber back where it meets the wash tub and look behind it. It is common for small items to get stuck here, become forgotten and start to mildew. You should check this area after each wash and clean it periodically to get rid of the formation of soap scum, mold, and mildew. HINT: When you get ready to wash a load of towels, take a dirty towel and clean the door boot thoroughly (including the areas behind the rubber). Immediately place the towel in the wash and run it on a sanitary cycle. This way you eliminate the need for cleaning rags.
PERIODICALLY RUN THE WASHER ON A CLEANING CYCLE. Place the washer on the hottest setting you have (usually a Sanitary cycle) with nothing but bleach in the wash tub. Some newer models actually have a "Clean Cycle" available now just for this purpose. This helps keep the wash tub, drain lines and pump sanitized.
CHECK AND CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER. Accumulations of debris in the drain pump filter can also cause odors. HINT: If you own a shop vac, pull the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum on the line. This will drain any residual water left in the tub, pump and drain lines BEFORE you remove the drain pump cover. This will prevent a messy clean up later.
LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN IF POSSIBLE. When not in use, leave the door open to allow the tub to air out and to keep mold and mildew from forming on the door bellow. I know this may not be desirable in some households with small children. If too much mildew forms on the rubber and it cannot be removed, replacement of the bellow may be required.
NOTE: This problem is common with front loader style washing machines. The doors on these machines have an air tight/water tight seal that is great for sealing the washer during the wash cycle, but can be terrible for collecting small garments and for not allowing the tub to properly air out when not in use. Following these simple preventive measures can go a long way towards preventing harmful mold and mildew, and towards extending the life of the door bellow and pump.

Vibrates and is loud on spin cylce
if you can get the bottom cover off you should be able to see there are 4 shocks on the bottom of the drum and it sounds like one of them is broken
Stopped spinning and draining
Sounds like there's a problem with the door lock or door lock switch. The machine won't spin if it thinks the door isn't locked. When working with the mechanism realize that it sometimes takes like 5 minutes for the lock to move one state to another.
Clothes still very damp after final spin
It's possible that your lint filter is blocked or that the exhaust tube thru which air is vented outside is blocked. Clear both as best you can and see if that makes a difference.
We are getting an error code ddo on our wahser?
The DDO error is telling you that the detergent door is open. This error occurs when the detergent door has not latched properly when the unit is started.
There is a sensor that is dependant on a magnet, that is attached to the door, to trip it and send the proper door closed signal to the control oard. If this magnet comes off, or loose the signal will not be sent to the control board, and the error code will be displayed.
Now for the bad news. The magnet is in such a position that a considerable amount of labor is required to replace it.
Unless you are mechanicly inclined and handy with a box of tools I do not recommend that you attempt this repair. It is very involved and is not a DIY repair. It is best to let a tech handle this repair. An approximate price range for this repair is $175.00 to $275.00, or more depending on where you live.

Water seeping back in washer after load is done?
Very possible your household drain pipe is almost the same size as the washers drain pipe. The house hold pipe should be approximately twice the diameter so as to allow equalising air in while water is being expelled from the washer. If at any time there is water flowback, it wont be forced into the washer pipe as it will now have an air gap.
The softner tray doesn't empty into the machine.
you could have a glogged up dispenser housing ,or a valve that is not working , each one has a valve that injects water through little holes into the dispenser.could be a bad valve, dispenser housing or enen a board. hope this helps
It fills up with water during the week when I'm
This condition is typically caused by faulty solenoid or solenoids at the water inlet valve. Unplug the machine, turn off the water, and remove the supply hoses. Check the solenoids at the water inlet valve. They can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter and checking for continuity. A lack of continuity will indicate a faulty solenoid and the inlet valve assy will need to be replaced. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.
