The front door seal stays moist an will grow mold. The mold smells and must be removed from the seal. To remove the mold you will need to remove by manipulating the seal to get under it. The mold will stink up you towels and other fabrics that have much of a pile to them. I have run my laundry with an oxygen sanitizer that I use to clean beer brewing equipment. This is the only thing that gets the smell out. Sears has a service flash on this but no solution. You might try leaving the door open so the seal can dry.

What you all are forgetting and I can vogue for this and prove it because we ripped our washer down......and I have pics... the mold will collect behind the SS tub in the plastic drum housing... every repair man told me NO POSSIBLE WAY!!!! well I was so sick of being sick and my husband decided time to buy a new washer we did and a (top loader i will add). and when the top loader was delivered we ripped the front loader totally apart (any one that would like to see pics you can email it) but be forewarned they are GROSS!!! I have done all the maintenance they have recommended and nothing helped (bleach, cascade, OXY, vinegar, leaving door open (which i may remind anyone is a risk if you have toddlers ) oh yes and lets not forget the washer magic they push down your throat to buy every time a sears tech comes out) I have a family of 6....4 girls and 2 of them babies so I have a lot of laundry....I will be more then happy to share what we found was hiding in the washer's this is not something you can see until you rip it totally down. There is a prefix to that number (222.23456) which you can look up on partsdirect.com to obtain a breakdown and list of parts. I can say if you don't have a service contract covering it, it will cost you over $100 just to have Sears knock on your door, much less do anything.

i know this is a silly questian but has it got a supply ie,double check that water is present and switched on.adrianxxx

your door switch is the problem,where the door latch goes into the machine a little switch sites behind this a safety feature and if this is broke the machine will still switch on but will not work it will need replaced they are cheap.adrianxxx

you have a sock or simler item stuck in you pump .adrianxxx

could be a number of problems,but try this FIRST push and hold any two buttons in for about 20 seconds make sure the machine is on,if this fails then you could have a blocked pump ie a sock is the usual suspect some mackines have a filter at the lower front check below the door if there is one then open and unscrew anty clock wise,if not then the pump will need removed and unblocked.adrianxxx

with machine disconnected.at the top is a flat wooden paneland at the rear of machine is two little screws one at each side remove this will expose the top of machineif no belt is visable then its broke and lying at the bottom of machine,as for the pump this sits at the bottom of the drum ,you dont tell me your problem,so,i dont know how to help you.adrianxxx

you should be ok from the bottom before you try again put some washing up liquid on the hose end this will let it on easy,remember this is a fiddly job even for an engineer.adrianxxx

i suspect a faulty wireing on this machine,and will need tested by an engineer a this could be dangerous.adrianxxx
