Hello
I assume you are not having any technical problems with the washer you just want to open the door during a wash cycle that is alredy in progress and the "Add Clothes" light is no longer illuminated. If this is not the case please provide the exact nature of the problem you have.
This is from the user manual fo rthe HE3 washer.
To add or remove items when ADD CLOTHES light is not glowing
1. To unlock the door you must cancel the current cycle by pressing STOP twice.
This will cancel the wash cycle and options. The washer door
unlocks, and items can be added or removed.
2. Close the door and select the new cycle and options. Select
and hold START (for approximately 1 second).

Hi,
The error is an indication a motor speed problem. This relates to the controller board not sensing that the motor is spinning. This could be attributed to three possibilities:
Motor is not really turning/stuck, a replacement is required;
Motor is turning but the sensor attached to it is defective and therefore not sending signals to the controller board. Please check the terminals/connectors/wirings; and/or
The controller board input circuitry is defective. It does not register any input from the motor's RPM sensor. This could be a diode, resistor or logic IC. This would be component level repair requiring familiarity with electronic circuitry and components, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. It would be easier to replace the entire controller board.
In some instances, it could just be the motor's capacitor that is defective. The capacitor provides the initial kick for the motor to start running. Failure on the capacitor will not kick start hence motor will not start hence RPM sensor says to controller board motor not running.
