Kenmore Elite 45986 Front Load Washer - Page 6 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Why does my kenmore elite he4t makes a lot of noise?
It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

Why wont my kenmore he3t washer power up
I don't know if this will solve your problem. I had a similar incident when the washer would not power due to the start button not engaging. I cleaned the button and surrounding area with a swab and vinegar and found that detergent had dripped into the housing of the button and was preventing it from depressing completely.

You would need know where the leak is coming from to determine a fix. These are all plastic if you hear clicking or rattling noise when you first start it then you have coins in the pump and its plastic housing is damaged. Other than that it can be the drum or the filler tube or any one of the hoses
My kenmore elite smartwash/he4t
The "F11" fault code will display if the Motor Control Unit (MCU) has an internal failure; repeating under or over voltage, or over current conditions. If failure occurs during high speed spin the door unlocks after 3 minutes. The MCU (Motor Control Unit) is located beside the motor. Here is the part to order.
Stops on spin cycle and gives a f11 error code
F11 is a serial communication error. Communication between the main board and the motor control board is not being sent correctly. This could be a bad main board, motor control board or motor itself. The testing can get pretty involved. Try putting the machine in a self test mode and see if the error clears. Press Cancel, then by pressing the drain spin button once on the left side then move to the spin speed button the the right. Press this button until no-spin lights. Press the prewash button 4 times. C00 should appear in the display. Let it run it's tests, there will be 8 of them and end up on C08. If this doesn't work, it's best you wait for the service tech.
Getting F11 code r8ght after starting, then flashes and stops
usually if this is a kenmore frontloader f11 is a communication error between the door lock and the ccu board. usually you'll hear a clicking sound before it fails. If so you need a central electric board. It is located directly under the top lid in the back. you can't miss it it's the only thing that has a lot of wires going to it.
Washer starts filling but stops
There are a host of things it could be. I would start with the solenoid first. This is what allows the water in and then is told to stop after a set period of time. F your washer is much older than 7-8 years old, then I would consider replacing because you may be seeing the beginning of the end for your washer. The monies you put in will only buy a little time and. Have a tech that is qualified will help you determine this. This is what I would recommend.
KHWS02RMT3 DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
go to applianceparts.com and put in the model number of the washer and it will give you all the parts and numbers. I have found parts cheaper there then at sears.
