Have blink 4 times

Hi , your mainboard uses AMI bios , "4 LED blinks" during POST appears to be a system memory related issue, some installation or compatibility. If the display is viewable I suggest run a self booting system memory test to test installed ram memory

Plugigng of wire in board

Hello there,

Below is an image of *********** Board with number indication and wiring explanation. From your manual page 1-6 you can see the image below and 1-7 for the connector, jumpers, slots. as indicated in your problem I will only answer problems related to the wirings.

  • For the Front Panel

pcsyke_117.jpg
1. There are 8 wires from the front panel's casing, excluding USB connectors and front audio cable.

2. Just plug the front panel switch headers to the F_Panel main board connectors. 1 & 2 are positive, if the led do not light change polarity but Im sure it will.

Note:The mainboard provides a front panel connector for electrical connection to the front panel switches and LEDs. JFP1 is compliant with IntelĀ® Front Panel I/O Connectivity Design Guide.

  • For the USB connectors

pcsyke_118.jpg

1. If your casing has a USB header on the front bezel you can put it on any connector. You can also purchase a USB module cable or an internal card reader and plug the headers to any of those connectors.

Note: Observe Polarity, do this Vcc, -Data, +Data, Gnd ,(NC) ground is always near to NC.

Plug it at your own risk, reference image are already shown.

  • Front Panel Audio connectors

pcsyke_119.jpg
1. Look for FP_Audio header from your casing and plug it to the connector.

*Asus recommend you connect a high definition front panel audio module to this connector to avail of the motherboard's high-definition audio capability.

Hopefully this information helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

ASUS P5KPL-AM -> CHASSIS INTRUDED

Hi, have you got this board installed in a case, with all the connections made? Usually there's a two pin connector to a microswitch that detects if the case is open. If you can identify that on the board you can short the switch, fooling the system into thinking the case is closed, to get inot the bios etc.

I dont know my wireless network password

Then hard reset the router. WARNING! You MUST have the username and password to log back onto your broadband service if you do this. Internet service provider usually sends you a welcome letter with these details. Also, take down the settings on the connection page of your router (if you dont know what this page is, you should leave this to someone that does). Generally there is a tiny hole/button on the rear of the router that should be pressed in for 10 seconds. This may vary with router model.
