My white thread from bobbin shows thru embroidery
flip your bobbin
when I hold my bobbib in my right hand and pull the thread with my left hand the bobbin spins counter clockwise, this is how i put it in the machine
Do you wind your own bobbins if so make sure you wind evenly
I order a box of 100 pre wound bobbins from Brother
Bobbin problems!
MAKE SURE you are using the correct SIZE bobbin. Some of the older plastic bobbins don't swap around in the newer machines & just because they LOOK the same doesn't mean they are. If you are absolutely POSITIVE you are using the right size bobbin (mark it w/ a permanent marker if you have to, to keep track of it), check & double check you are putting the bobbin in the case in the right direction & make sure there aren't any loose threads anywhere in the area where the bobbin sits... be sure all little dust bunnies are removed. I know it sounds redundant but get your book out & be POSITIVE you are threading thru all the thread paths in the right direction. My Babylock is supremely **** when it comes to putting the shuttle back in after I've cleaned the bobbin area & if I don't get it back exactly where it supposed to go, it won't sew right. I always have to get my book back & check it out again step by step. I have it do crazy stuff just because there was a little tail hanging out where the bobbin started to wind that I didn't cut off close enough.
Top thread keeps breaking on ESe2.
Many things can inter fear with the thread and cause it to break. A common problem is the thread getting wrapped around the top tension rollers on that machine. You can take off the "face cover" (side cover on the left) and look from the side and see if the 2 little rollers have thread wrapped around or underneath them. Start there.
I recently was given a Baby Lock Esante ESi-2 from
AT LEAST you have the petal and power cord - I had to order that from a place in online at sew4less.com - the foot petal was 49.95 and the cord was 14.95. I see a slot in the side of mine and it's for a memory card - those are 119....
Could you please help me to oil my esante machine?
As soon as I have the old motor in my hands I will post what I tried to do... I think you simply pry the metal hub from the molded body. Then re lub with a high quality grease. And of course firmly re seat them. Will let you know.
Will not accept memory card
I loaded a different pattern to the card and it worked. Guess it was just a problem with the first one I tried. Hopefully, it won't happen again.
Feed Dog problem
Here are some common reasons that the fabric won't feed:
1. Stitch length is set to zero, or machine is in button hole setting
2. Feed dogs are dropped (free motion setting)
3. Broken gears (typically in old singers)
4. Presser bar not coming down - may be bound up.
5. Lots of lint under the needle plate (in between the feed dogs) preventing feed dogs from raising.
Hope this helps.
Needle timing.
Timing of a sewing machine, which timing? Needle to hook timing is fairly simple, turn the hand wheel in the direction the machine sews until it is at bottom of the stroke. Continue turning it until it moves up 2.54 mm if it is timed correctly the point of the hook should be right behind the needle and passing above the eye in the middle of the scarf of the needle. There are several timing of a sewing machine, needle to hook, feed and swing timing.
Thread is gettting caught in
It could be that your bobbin case popped out of position. Try removing and resetting it.
It could be that you have no upper tension, either lint in the tension discs or upper thread is mis-threaded and did not get down into the tension discs (make sure lifter lever is up when threading so the discs are open).
good luck!
Feed dogs will not go up
remove the embroidery arm and before yo place the sewing box attachement move the feed dog switch to the left/up position. (its located on the frontside of the machine, which is visible when you remove the embroidery arm.
