Simmons 3*9 22 MAG scope
Hi,
I bought one SIMMONS 3*9 MAG 22 riffle scope from USA last month in $54 and fixed it on my .22 riffle with proper instruction. When I shooted 2-3 bullets, its + sign is moved from actual target.
I made the target and + again in sync and after shooting 3-4 bullets, its + changed the position. After consulting with some mechanic, he told me the SIMMONS telescope is manufactured in China and its acuracy is not upto the mark. He was advocating me to buy bushnell scope for my riffle.
Now I am confused and not able to identify how to fix this + movement problem in my scope.
Can anyone please help me on this ????
Your reply is very much anticipated.
Thanks !!
We have a 675 power/6mm astronomical refractor
Forget about the 675 power. You will never get that much magnification.
Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the telescope. Take the scope outside duringg the day and practice focusing on a distant object. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one.
The moon should be your first night time target.

You will not find a specific manual for that small telescope. However
Meade maintains a web site with manuals for their telescopes. Find one
similar to yours and download it for free. AND-- forget about doing
astro-photography with that telescope. You might get a picture of the
moon but not much more.

Cross hairs do not adjust. Tell me what to do please?
All question need FULL 'make model (what it is)'.
You posted to optics, so let's guess is a telescopic rifle sight?
It is impossible to see and movement as the crosshairs move such a tiny amount. Half a millimetre in the sight is 10 feet at the target. The only way to zero in sights is on a fixed bench rest at the range.
If you really think they are faulty, return them to the maker for repair.

I have a NexStar 90GT with no hand control, a replacement will cost $135, is it worth it to buy for this telescope?
Whether or not it's worth it to buy a replacement hand control for your NexStar 90GT telescope depends on a few factors:
- How often do you use the telescope? If you use it frequently and rely on the hand control to find objects in the sky, then it may be worth it to invest in a replacement.
- How important is the hand control to your observing experience? If you're comfortable manually finding objects in the sky and don't necessarily need the hand control, then it may not be worth the expense.
- Can you find a cheaper alternative to the official replacement? Sometimes, third-party sellers may offer hand controls that are compatible with your telescope at a lower price.
Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether the cost of the replacement hand control is worth it based on your individual needs and preferences.
