Trying to print wedding invitations
The paper size on the printer and the paper size from the software must match.
Look for the owners manual for the printer and loook for the section that describes how to set the paper size on the printer.

Paper size mismatch for A9 envelope (5.75x8.75)
Set the envelope size in the printer properties paper size list to A5 (5.83 x 8.27) which is only .08 inches wider than the short side of an A9 envelope (5.75 inches). The paper size sensor on the HP6520 printer must not be sensitive enough to tell the difference. I can print A9 envelopes just fine using the A5 setting.
Printed photos have white vertical lines running
Those are lines where the printer heads are not printing. Since in this printer the head is part of the cartridge you must clean the contact thoroughly, verify the data cable and replace the cartridges with original new ones.
If this doesn't fixes it then the defect is in the controller of the printer - the memory buffer that stores the image when it's received from the pc and sends it one line at the time to the printing heads . This cannot be repaired - the printer is dead.
Keep getting carriage jam message
make sure there is noting inside the printer that does not belong there, with the power off and unpluged feel around the insides and see if there is something in there that does not belong in there.
Printer wil not print because
the feeder paddle is worn. It has rubber flaps to move (advance) the paper. Replacements maybe still around through hp.com
How do you install print cartridges?

Install the print cartridge
- If you are installing a new cartridge, remove the sticker and transparent tape completely from the bottom of the cartridge.
Warning:
Do not touch the gold contact area on the back or the metal print cartridge nozzles on the bottom.
For a photo cartridge, remove the cartridge from the storage unit first.
Note:
Do not discard the storage unit, as it can be used to hold the photo cartridge if you replace it with a black one.
- Unless it is already open, press down on the cartridge lever to raise the cartridge lid.
- Insert the black cartridge or photo cartridge in the left carrier or the color cartridge in the right carrier.
- Snap the lid closed.
Note:
If you are installing both cartridges, repeat steps 1 - 4 for the second cartridge.
- Close the access cover.
Note:
The access cover must be closed to start a print job.
From your printer:
When a cartridge change is detected, you will be asked if an alignment page should be printed. To align cartridges:
- Make sure that Yes appears on the display.
- Press the Select button to print an alignment page.
From your computer:
- After installing the cartridges, open the Lexmark P910 Series Utility. The Auto Alignment dialog appears.
- Click Continue to print the alignment page. The Alignment Status dialog appears.
- Click OK.

From the control panel of the printer go to Setup (Scan) > Networks
Try to locate the name of your router( you need to connect your Laptop to a wireless router either wirelessly or thru cable, this also implies to the printer also).
the printer will connect to the router and the laptop will also connect to the printer through the router.
you cant connect the printer directly to the laptop.
