GE GSH25KGRWW Side by Side Refrigerator Questions & Answers
Warm refrigerator compartment
There is a fan that blows the cold air down from the freezer to the fridge compartment. It is usually called a freezer fan. Most of them are behind the plastic lining in the freezer. I just noticed that your fridge is a side by side. I have never wored on a side by side but I imagine there is fan in them as well.
My model GSH25KGRWW ice maker appears to be
Could be that the water shut off valve is stay open too long and excess water is not in tray and freezing over. There is an adjustment on the icemaker for the length of time it loads water. Lessen it.
Side by side stopped working but clicling noises every second two.
Read, this model posted has a main board in back that controls the refer. Your problem sounds like the overload and relay on the compressor but you need to do a test to verify. On the main board in back there is a blue harness, 3 pronged, that is marked line, defr and comp. Lower left hand corner. You need to get a jumper wire with alligator clips and with the plug out, jump line to comp. Now plug it back in, this will send 120V directly to the compressor. See if it starts. If not and it does it clicking thing, chances are it's the overload and relay, or the compressor itself. You have five years warranty on the compresser. If it starts, it's the board it's the board giving you the problem. This of course is for the GSH model posted...Catriver..post back.
There is no power going to the compressor, there

Fridge stopped working
Sounds as if the unit is stuck in defrost. How old is it? Look for mechanical {twist} timer and turn it until it starts. If it is a newer model unplug unit for 1 minute this might reset control board but you'll have to know if it is either mechanical or Automatic defrost!!
GSH25KGRWW dispenses ice/water all by itself!
as you explained that by opening the freezer door the problem stopped the problem is: that you have a pinched dispenser wire or, two in the area between the door and, the door opening
these wires are low voltage so they are not going to cause a fire
but, if they touch the cabinet due to a bare wire they will ground and, start running the dispenser.
the door cover needs to be removed and, the problem (usually at the door hinge must be found and, corrected i.e. wire taped, shielded etc.

You said that the control board on rear of your refrigerator was replaced and there is still nothing happening? You do need to check the power behind the refrigerator to make sure there is power, yes. When did the control board get replaced and was it new?. Sea Breeze.
In door water dispenser isn't dispensing water.
you did not say which brand, how old, or the model. But if your refrigerator is cooling properly..check the water resevoir behind the crisper drawers. It may be frozen up. I have seen this many times. You also have to check both soleniods on the water valve ( supply ) and the filter valve, if yours has a filter valve. I can't tell without model and make etc.
For a GE refrigerator model GFSF6KEX, how do you remove the ice tray? (Not the freezer drawer, just the tray.)
To remove the ice tray from your GE refrigerator model GFSF6KEX, follow these steps:
Empty the Ice: Before removing the ice tray, empty it of any ice cubes. This will make it easier to handle.
Locate the Ice Tray: The ice tray is typically located in the freezer compartment, usually near the ice dispenser or ice maker.
Grasp the Bottom Edge: Stand in front of the freezer and open the door. Grasp the bottom edge of the ice tray on the sides. Be cautious not to place your fingers near the opening at the bottom front part of the bucket where the crusher blades are located.
Lift Up the Front: Lift up on the front of the ice tray so that it clears the stops on the ice bucket rail.
Pull the Tray Forward: Pull the ice tray forward and out of the freezer compartment.
Reinstalling the Tray: To reinstall the ice tray, follow these steps:
Line up the flange pieces on the sides of the tray with the channels in the ice bucket rails.
As you push the ice tray all the way back, lift the front of the tray so that it clears the stops on the front of the ice bucket rails.
Verify that the tray is properly inserted by pulling it forward. It should hit the stops on the rail and not come out. If it does, push the tray further back.
Check for Misalignment: If you're unable to push the ice tray all the way back, it might be due to a misalignment between the back of the auger (located in the tray) and the prongs on the auger motor (mounted in the back freezer wall). To fix this:
Remove the ice tray.
Close the freezer door.
Press the dispenser for cubed or crushed ice; you should hear a snap.
Open the door again and reinstall the ice tray.
Remember to handle the ice tray carefully, especially if it's full of ice.
